Starscream I just can't come to grips with the big Leno Chin. Yes I dislike the Head, but the rest of him isn't bad. If I find an easy way to replace the head, or maybe re-sculp it somehow, I might just buy it.

I saw a digibash on this board with the new animated SS body and an old school G1'sh head on it, and it looked sick!!! It's absolutely amazing just the difference that changing his head made.

I'm not liking the paint job on these toys... The Comic-Con display ones looked shinier and nicer and WAY BETTER! sigh

Hasbro got cheap on us aagain

Bumblebee looks cool. Optimus Prime, on the other hand, doesn't look so good.

I'm the reverse on this one: I really like the deluxe Prime, but this BB get's my "blegh!" Even then, seeing this one's got me looking forward to Animated.

My vote for the HOF goes to my favorite Transformer, Kup, to the Headmasters (who still need new figures that aren't just the characters without their master components) and to seibertron.com for for being the ultimate TF resource.

well the reason I'm digging BB is more because he looks like he actually transforms, where Prime just looks like he collapses in on himself. Like the Voyager Megatron movie mold. I'm just not a big fan of TF's where you just fold there legs straight back and you're pretty much done with the transformation.

and the detachable roof? ugh, I hate it when you have to remove pieces to transform a toy. One of the things I've been loving about so many of the movie toys is that their weapons are housed inside them in alt mode. I don't like all the accesories. More to lose really.

The Voyager Prime is looking a lot better though, I'm just geeking waiting to see the Megatron figures.

Put a big cannon on Megs right arm and I'm hooked and sold.

Quote from BOOKOFJUNON about my last post - "Yes those craptastic movie designs were leagues better Talk to the hand

Imagine that though, a toyline aimed at kids with kid friendly colours and styles, who would have thunk it...

Not like that's never happened before with Transformers.

I'm so glad my G1, G1, BW, BM, RiD, Armada, Energon, and Cybertron stuff was aimed at us smart adult people.

Whatever.

The bashing of this line is by a select few who can't open their minds to new concepts. Some of them raise a few good points on why they don't like it and at least they explain why. Then we get people like doomseer here who can't be bothered except to say it sucks and G1 Roxxors foreverorrrrss!!!!"

My reply -

Of course I'm not saying transformers should not be aimed at kids - that would just be stupid. But What I am saying is that every other line so far has has realistic looking modes and faces. These are really garish and overcartooney. What I am trying to say is that when I look at all the other lines I can see why they have appealed to adult collectors too. With these I can't see that anywhere near as many older people would want them.

What I'm trying to say is KIDS will love these so maybe in a theoretical sense they are good transformers. It certainly looks like a lot of work has gone into them. As an adult I just don't find any appeal in them. I have liked at least 3 or 4 figures from EVERY line (not just G1 like you say) even beast wars which often gets slated but I don't like these. To me that suggests they are worse. I'm entitled to my opinion and its not like I'm not talking from experience - as I say I'm NOT just a g1 collector! In fact I hardly see the point of owning G1 figures when you compare them to later versions of the same character. Its mainly armada, cybertron, titanium, star wars and movie Tfs in my collection. Your presuming things about me that are wrong. And If I just look at the figures and don't feel the same liking or wanting than I do with the other kinds I think that is a good reason to dislike them but kinda hard to articulate on paper. Maybe what I mean is they just don't look serious. Hope thats enough reasons for ME personally not to like them. You can if you want - I don't mind and I'm sure hasbro will take your money!

and before anyone calls me a G-wunner I am not part of that age group but I will side with them anyday ..these toys look totally idiotic!

"Not part of that age group"? Needlessly large font, poor punctuation and sentence structure, vapid arguments... I'm surprised you can reach the keyboard. 8)

Wow! Although Prime's alt mode is looking big and bulky, Bumblebee is looking cute and ignoring the thin joints on Prime's elbows, nice! Just looking at these makes me feel so young XD Definatley getting these.

I'm OK with them but I doubt I'll buy any of them (OK, maybe Grimlock). I do, however, love the back and forth/love'em-hate'em debates though. It's like the movie toys all over again!

In the end, I applaude Hasbro from trying something a little outside the norm.
