Wasn't Trelane a Q?

Thats up for debate.Theres no proff that he is or isnt. There has been no canon information stating it.Theres a lot of fan speculation that he might be but those aposed to the idea site that his name isint Q and every Q we ever met on all the serries ether called them selfs Q or a name starting with a Q.There was a book written by Peter Davis [of Marvels Hulk and X-factor 90's days] Called Q Squried that makes such a statment but none of the books ever written on Star Trek are ever cannon.

As for other rases that could have had the power that were mention by name from TOS alone there were...........
the Thasians from the episode Charlie X
the Metrons from the episode Arena [the one with the Gorn]
the Organians from the episode Errand of Mercy [first Kligons]
And what ever Trelane and his parents were if thet werent Q.

I know to some of you I me late on this but I just wanted to give my 2 cents

Q eh? :-?

I never really thought about it. I just figured it was others of his kind that plonked him there.

I do love that classic line from Kirk.

What does God need with a Starship?

And all Q's are called Q. They were only given seperate names for the benefit of the crew to distinguish from them. Q knows who he means when he says Q. I wouldn't say Trelane is a Q.

I want to take his face...off.

Truly one of the stranger moments of Trek. The one with the two black and white guys made me feel ill watching that the first time.

you guys seem to have forgotten the best ST game ever (imo)...Bridge Commander, with mods you could fly any ship in the ST universe...my fave was the Defiant and the Ent D

Oh and Legacy is actually quite good, kinda like an arcade version of BC, nice graphics, but they just didnt do enough with the game...a lot of potential wasted

Yea, Bridge Commander is a good one too. I managed to hunt that one down and on ebay new for only $14

I wasnt a fan of the stock ships in that one, it took way too long to reload torpedoes. You almost had to play with modded ships. Unfortunately this here laptop I've got cant support the better mods  That's why I play Armada more

You should read the Q trilogy of novels. It raises such theories as Q (or the Q) being responsible for:
--The creation of the Galactic barrier and the Galactic Core Barrier. It keeps in a powerful being and keeps out yet another being. The only one that could overpower Q
--The Destruction of the Tkon Empire
--The asteroid that hit Earth and killed the dinosaurs
--The Beta-IIXa entity

Martok's pretty cool, as are your Klingons
I always felt that the Romulans were a little more civilized though :P

You can obviously tell I'm a fan of the Feddies
Picard, Data, Kirk, McCoy, Spock and Worf are probably at the top of my fav character list right now

Thats the Beta-XII-A entity but the problem with those book is that their not canon.I dont like the ST books that try to present nnew explaination for thing and events because their never considered canon.

My fav feddies are Kirk and Sisko.I always liked the non-human characters more propably cause they could behave outside our cultural norms and it still wouldnt impack their moral codes.Look at the Ferengi and their "Rules of Acquisition" number 13 being "Anything worth doing is worth doing for money." How many times have you thought of this your self but then thought it might be seen as wrong.

My favorite non-human characters are Odo and Garak. I would say that my favorite Klingon is Martok. He's got the coolest voice ever. As for humans, I'm gonna go with Kirk, McCoy, and Sisko. Favorite bad guy is Gul Dukat.

Psssh, Sisko :P

I'll admit though, whole emissary thing aside, he was pretty cool. Bending the rules is always fun and makes for a good story

I will however, take Picard any day over Sisko. He (the character) is 70-something and he can still whoop some ass. You gotta respect that

Kirk woulda whooped Picard's ass easy. Let's all remember his crazy jump-kick move, as well as his wild judo chops. Picard wouldn't stand a chance...if they ever had a reason to fight. :(

And don't you remember when Sisko clocked Garak? Twice? He was very passionate.

The judo chops...

Do you know of any other 70-year-old man who goes on black ops missions and tells a Klingon to basically f**k-off to his face? I'm not sayin he's the strongest, but he's hella cool for an old guy whose beyond his prime. 40 yr old Picard would School 40 yr old Sisko

Kirk could probably beat the **** out of Picard and Sisko (they double team him) with his judo chops and kicks, which will obviously result in his shirt being partially or fully torn apart, and then try to hook up with Janeway and Seven :-P

Kirk is the mac daddy of Starfleet Captains. But lo, let's not forget that old man McCoy ALSO was schooled in the ways of judo chops. Remember when he overdosed on that medicine? Instead of flying into the transporter room and like, biting the guy's ear off, he simply judo chops his neck and back, and the guy is down. I mean, it's no neck pinch, but it works!

However, I don't understand the need for Kirk to have always been half naked. It wasn't like he was ripped or something. But he could've taken down Jem h'adar or a Klingon with his judo powers. And dude always gets the girls. Always.

The point was so that any women nearby would get a whiff of his sweaty pheramones to turn them on, thus ensuring the good captain will score again
