At the expence of losing there fanbase. You would think that they would know better by now. They have a guaranteed audiance with the fans.If they cant pull in a new audiance with this film.......then they will at least break even with the fan if they try to please them.....but the way their going their bound to lose the fanbase.

Now I understand why my Trekkie friend wants to help un-canonize (sp?) Enterprise (TV show, NOT the ship).

Moving on, were there any other TOS ep scripts made before its cancellation?

As far as I know......yes most of the shows writters had a whole season planned and written. Some of those scripts have made their way to the Novels.

They are.I've seen some set designs from this movie.I cant prove their offical but most of the other stuff I've gotten from that source has been on the level. The sets look like up-grades from Enterprise.

See, I like to pretend that the crappy jelly-bean buttons and decidedly low-tech looking computers were in reality much more slick and complicated. TOS was great, but their budget and abilities were somewhat limited. So I just imagine that is was better. Now, for the sake of consistency, then yes, they should have the crap set design. I'm ok either way, I guess.

I knew that this film was bad news from when I fisrt heard about it back when Enterprise went off the air.

They shoulda done a movie set in the future, like that new web series.

If they were gonna do one in the past, they should have set it post TMP pre TNG era, starring Sulu and Chekov
Centered around Sulu's last voyage as captain of the Excelsior before he gets promoted to the admiralty

Something along those lines would be cool

The torpedo launcher isnt supposed to be at the base of the neck/boom thingy

It's a good design, a really good one though

Thats where it is on the refitt. As you can see there are design eliments from a few of the different Enterprise's.

I think its a bit over done for a first movie.I like the way it looks and all but I still think its to muck.I think for the first movie they should make more sutel changes and for the one after step up their game. Most likely its still a worg in progress anyway and we're getting all worked up for nothing.

It would be a downgrade.

The perfectionist in me screams no. It looks like a hybrid of the original and the refit. More curves than the original.

But otherwise, I like it. The original would look daft in a movie nowadays without some tweaking, and I would quite happily see this in the movie. But there wont be any lego buttons on the bridge, I bet.
