lol, nice! Some KO company out there should run with that idea and create a recolored version with a slight remold. He'd look fantastic partnered with High Score. :)

EDITED to avoid double-posting! More pics, too.

craggy wrote:How about Predadon for the KO beast gestalt. Which, BTW is really funky.

Hm, I like that as well! Or Predatron... or does anyone know of any fables or fairy tales involving a wolf, a lion, a bull, and a falcon? Something like that would be ideal. 8)

Speaking of the animals that he turns into, here are more pics!

And do you really think he looks all that funky? Honestly, I like him better than all of the (knockoff) G1 gestalts that I've gotten thus far -- the way that the smaller weapons and shields of his individual robots combine to form the larger ones is really neat, and I'm rather impressed by the relative lack of additional pieces needed to form the combined robot. Everything there is part of the original guys except for the crotch!

The pic on the back of the box doesn't actually have the animal heads attached to his hips like that, but I keep them there so I don't misplace them. :P

Hmm, actually, the animal heads should be able to attatch behind the golden shoulder things. I got mine 6 years ago, so they might have remolded it, but I think I see the little peg on his shoulder :P

I think that there may be something along those lines in Japanese folklore, but no idea on the specifics other than the vague feeling that Neil Gaiman has referenced it at some stage.

Good ol' Gaiman! And the reference to Japanese folklore has me wanting to call him Moujuutron or something.

Ah, so there are! That's helpful, thanks. :D You wouldn't happen to know of any other helpful pegs like that on the figure, would you? I've been using the falcon's wings as a sort of backpack for storing the lion's and wolf's weapons and the bull's mane thingy, but it'd be even neater if there were actual places on him designated for this purpose.

Fooling around with this guy again, I realize the wolf is slightly longer than the lion on mine, which makes him incline to one side a bit. I can fix it if I extend their bodies, but then he's so top heavy that the wolf keeps wanting to collapse in (that extension is a little loose on mine, but not so much that it collapses in robot mode). Might have to break out the screwdriver and the nail polish and go to work on that. 8)

He's about as tall as the G1 gestalts with the legs fully extended, which I guess is kinda neat.

Wow! Cheap! This KO shoe goes for around $50 in our place. Or more. I forgot the exact price. It's highway robbery.

Motto: "Better than Michael Bay..."
Weapon: Null-Ray Rifle
Urgh the quality of the G1 trainbots knockoff Spalah posted looks terrible. Also a couple of them apear to have lopsided/wrognly positioned 'backpacks'. Shouki (the blue bullet train) for instance should have his cab asembly positioned in the middle of his back, is the hole for this missing on the knockoff?

Good suggestion! Mine's definitely affiliated with the Decepticons, though... I almost feel like ordering up some faction symbols on reprolabels so I can establish the loyalties of all of my bootleg bots.

I picked up some of the cassette formers from page 1 and was wondering. Do they fit in a G1 soundwave?

If they're the same ones I've got (and I'm pretty sure by the packaging they are), then no. These fellas are about twice the size (in each direction) of an original.

I have one. Same size, a little thinner material and slightly looser, but good quality. I put a logo on his chest for mine.

I'm pretty sure other folks have seen them -- and they've been up on eBay -- but I haven't been lucky enough to cross paths with any myself. I'd sure like to have a Bruticus to add to my KO combiner collection!

I just purchased this from a guy in China and I'm eagerly awaiting it. It's 5 double sized remolded movie legends who turn into one robot.

Yeah, I saw them. I got myself a Bruticus and a Devastator. The plastic is is pretty good quality, even if the molds are are a bit iffy. Still nice, though.

I just picked up an interesting set of minibot KOs. There were two packs of two, each for £1 at Poundworld in the Nottingham Broadmarsh.

The pack I got consisted of a pretty close to dead on copy of Cliffjumper, albeit twice the size and different colours. The second fig, which was what really interested me, looks a lot like Brawn in his vehicle mode... but he transforms like BB and CJ, and has Bumblebee's face!
The second pack had a Bumblebee with a new face, and another version of the Brawn-style mould.

I'll try and post pics of the ones I got tomorrow.
