I went back about 10 pages and no mention of them.
Not real KO Transformers but pretty cool.
They are very loose but I am trying a hand at painting them,
the paint should tighten them up some I think.
There is another one but it is dismantled at the moment.

Those been around since early 90's. I bought the Dragon Fly for my brother for Easter. I don't remember what they were called though....

I've got versions of them from two different lines -- the Quick Change Transforming System Robo Insects and the Transformer Robot Team. There's a lot of overlap between the two lines, but each one has a few 'bots exclusive to it (though probably bootlegged from some other line)! I've got all of them except the red stag beetle from the TRT line. Love to find that someday...

EDIT: And yeah, I don't think these are within the last 10 pages (maybe not even within the last 20!), but a while back I posted some comparison pics of the rhinoceros beetle and grasshopper from each of the lines. Here they are again:

The larger ones (top left and bottom right in the first pic, left in the second) are the QC Insecticons; the others are the TRT variety. :)

The quality of the toy itself makes it doubtful to join the KO category.

That's a really nice find.

Thanks for the comparison pics. These are the QC version,
I have been looking for the other ones too. I think they are sold at Walgreens but they seem to be sold out all the time.
I decided they needed more paint to make them not so loose.
He's not done yet, but is coming along:

Something I've never seen before. Its a K combiner but not based off any TF molds I've seen. Might be one of them thar KO exclusive molds...

whoo hoo, I found the RatTrap KO hiding up in the stock at BigLots last night. I was looking all over for him and Leo, but all they had was tons of that giant Megatron Dragon. When I was walking away I noticed up on the top shelf there was "something" laying down that I hadn't noticed, so I climbed up and grabbed it and flipped it over and, "YES!!!" I Finally found RatTrap!!

Was kind of a pain to figure out how his arms went back to Rat mode, but he's a very decent quality KO.

Plastic feels sturdy.
Pretty decent paintjob, alt mode looks to me like the official toy
2 joints were a little loose, but some clearcoat nailpolish fixed that, and now he's just awesome.

Still gotta go back for that Dragon Megatron, and they had a HUGE plane there, but it looked stuck in midtransformation and I couldn't really tell who it was. At first when I saw the feet I thought it was JetFire and got excited, but when I saw the rest of him, I don't think that was him.

I remember seeing the planes when I first started reading this thread, but I can't dig through 70 pages to try and find it again.

anyway, just had to share. RatTrap FTW!

oh forgot to mention it's the: Space Warriors Transformable Beast-Tech Fighter that's what the package says.

Is it the regular Rattrap or the transmetal version? Before I'd have recommended either, but in light of the huge stash of legitimate 10th anniversary transmetal Rattraps I recently came across at the local Burlington Coat Factory, I'd just as soon tell people to get a legit version for a few more dollars. I feel the same way about the dragon Megatron, even though he is a good KO.

I believe you're talking about one of the Gundam knockoffs.

Apparently, 'cause I saw a ton of them there this weekend! Granted, they only had the 10th anniversary BW figures with the DVDs -- and they only had Rattrap, Dinobot, and Tarantulus, 'cause if Waspinator had been there I totally would've gotten him -- but yeah. Go check yours out! :)

yeah looking around today online I've found a few reissue RatTraps with DVD for about 15 dollars. Might have to pick up one of them too.

What can you tell me about the Dragon Megatron? I looked through the pics gallery at the official and it looks pretty much like what I saw at Big Lots last night. Different colors here and there, but otherwise the same.

Is it a good pickup for 10 bucks? Does anyone have the KO version? I do have to say the quality of the Rattrap KO was much higher then I would have thought it would be, so now I'm pretty curious about Megatron since it's made by the same people.

I posted a small review of the k.o. Megatron dragons mand yes, they are worth 10 bucks. The quality of the plastic is above-average,the pins dont fall out,and the play value is pretty good not to mention that if the smaller kids play with them ,hey, its only 10 bucks as opposed to 30 or 40 bucks to replace a collectible.

The only thing that would seriously worry me with it is GPS with all the chrome paint apps. But GPS takes time, so... Not really a way to tell.

Also, Dragon Megatron KO has no trigger on his neck to cause the whole lunging head action. Not anybody actually used that, though...

Although, I much prefer my Cryotek beauty to a KO, even if he was near $40.

I think that's one of the brave series combiners. It's a Knockoff of another Japanese robot line, but not a Transformers knockoff. It comes with soccor balls and nets, if it's the one I think.

You gotta love the giant brown knockoff transmetal Rattrap! I call him the Big Cheese.

yup that's the one I got. I read today that he's a lot larger then the original, but that's cool with me.

He's 1:1 scale with a real rat, lol.

Indeed, you are correct my friend! He did indeed come with a soccer ball and something that wasn't exactly a net, but I could easily see it being something of field goal posts... At any rate, he's out of the box and... Well, he's awesome, but he was really loose in some places so his clear nail polish is drying right now. Pictures would still have to wait.

At any rate, he comes apart to transform into his gestalt mode, goes together in some odd ways, but you don't have to use all the bots to get him combined. You can put two bots together and leave to on their own, you can put three bots together and leave an extra dude... Or you can be like me and put them all together.

Nail polish high... :HALUC:

KO's only serve 2 purposes to me,

1) having a figure to handel while the more expensive origional is preserved.

2) guilt free casualties

This guy's got rubber treads! Too bad the wheels on three of the bots are plastic, but the treads on the drill bot are honest to goodness rubber. That just pwns. Especially for a knockoff. The only problems he even had were all fixed with nail polish.

So... Anybody got a name pinned down on him yet? I'd hate to have a guy without a name... :(

How about "Potential Hand Donor for Rescue Ratchet"?

Seriously, I wonder if those would work... that set is all over our local Big Lots.

Yeah, I believe it's $12.99 at Big Lots -- I've seen it packaged in combined form and (I think) appears there under the "Twist 'n' Change" line. So it's not necessarily made by the same folks as yours -- I believe that the Quick Change KOs are different from the Twist 'n' Change ones (which I believe come from Agglo), but I'm not entirely certain.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
