Question is, what should his vehicle mode be? A better version of his "land cruiser" mode the G1 toy had? The Nemesis? Or perhaps an orbital cannon like he turned into in WFC?

Okay, I'll set the negativity aside for a bit and join in the speculation. I think the orbital Canon mode, while completely awesome, wouldn't really be practical from a playability standpoint. Keep in mind this is Hasbro were talking about, and they're still going to want this thing to appeal to little kids. That means it needs to have a high degree of playability. Given that I think the space cruiser, or some sort of vehicle mode will be a safe bet. Personally I hope for the space cruiser.

Its likely to be idw trypticon I would assume considering metroplexs titan class figure is his idw design not FOC design plus trypticon doesn't need any iind of walking gimmick its better without one

Agreed, besides, it's been many years since hasbro put electronics in a proper figure (dotm leaders, I believe) I doubt they would do that now, especially with the way they've been trying to bump up their profits off of them

For me, personally the tail thing would be more a problem of 'How the hell do i get this guy on a shelf?!'
Also, a light sprinkling of punctuation would make that post a whole lot easier to understand.

It's a concern that pertains to how big the box that the figure comes in would be. In most cases, the bigger the box's size, the more expensive the product is. I'm sure a lot of us here want Trypticon to be of comparable height to Metroplex, but that tail of his is gonna account for a lot of his mass, which would require a much bigger box, and which would amount to a much bigger price. That's what worries people.Starsaber468 wrote:I don't get why people worry trypticon would have a longer tail then height

All figures take about that long, since they didn't know who would win (assuming it wasn't 'rigged') then the most they could have prepared would be concept art, and basic designs at the most. Now that they know the general order of release, they can start work proper on all three of them in order.
Still gives them lots of time. It takes time to do these molds but at least they can get going and we can be more convinced they are going to try harder
I dunno ... with final production time they may only have six months to develop the figure. I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't got some work done on all three already.

Hellscream9999 wrote:So wait, you want 24" tall t-rex like bw megs (anatomically correct, bent over more than g1 grimlock) witha long tail, or a 24" t-rex like g1 grimlock where he stands up? Because that first option would be exorbitantly expensive or stupidly hollow, as it would be enormous

I will be interested, however, to see how they make Trypticon a headmaster

Emerje wrote:I've always thought of Trypticon as being more like a transforming Godzilla anyway (thanks to his bigger arms) so I'm fine with him being upright with a short tail. But a 24" Trypticon would still end up being nearly 3' long from nose to tail which is a lot of bot. And sure, he has smaller arms than Metroplex, but he also has a thicker body and those big back guns that more than make up for it.

That Bot wrote:I do not believe for a moment that Trypticon will be a headmaster (or titan master, if you prefer). However big he is, his titan master partner would have to be the size of a legends or deluxe figure, or even larger, making it incompatible with the other Titan Masters figures, and the bot would have to transform into a dinosaur head instead of a human-ish robot head, another incompatibility with the rest of the line. At least Fort Max will probably have Spike the size of a normal Titan Master. Trypticon doesn't get that luxury unless they make HIM a double headmaster, which would still require the larger head unit to turn into a dino head and sacrifice some cool selling points like mouth articulation and shape and general form factor. I'm sure they'll make Trypticon's base mode compatible with the little Titan Master robots and able to link up with other basebots.

I think Fort Max is going to be a double Titan(Head)master, with Spike and Cerebros both. Perhaps Trypticon could do the same thing. They could use his minions, Wipe-Out, Full-Tilt, and Brunt.
I'm not saying I like it, just that it may be a possibility....
