But after facepalming and looked for "other means" to watch it, got a copy and loved the entire thing. The old school Turtles were done to the way they should have been and the trip to their world was a good laugh. But the trip to Turtle Prime was simply amazing.
The Mirage turtles looked perfect and the whole "monologue" from Leo fit the original comics spot on. The only issue I really had with the whole show was the uselessness of the Mirage Shredder. Yes the 80's Shredder was a doofus (which he was) the way that the original was dispatched so easily was just sad.
And the updated Technodrome was amazingly bad-ass.
Once I ran an Anime festival with over 6,000 attendees. Now... not so much.

They are, but not in the way you're thinking. They're airing it over the three weeks in three 30 minute parts instead of the whole 90 minute thing all three weekends.

I loved how the original Shredder showed up just to fall of the roof and die because of getting trash thrown at him complete with the classical cat scream following his fall.
Looking at it the 2003 Turtles really where the best of both worlds, funny yet still dark and I loved how the 03 Shredder was afraid of the classic Turtles.
The only thing I didn't like was how the classic cartoon Turtle characters where reduced to nothing but slapstick for the most part, the Turtles being nothing but Miky clones, Shredder not having a moment of glory (still better than the original one) I do know that the show was cheesy and kiddy but it wasn't as bad as shown in that show and since when did the Turtles show themselves in public without wearing long coats and hats to conceal themselves. But heck I still loved them.

I don't think he fell to his death in that part. But I'm pretty sure that that bit was meant as a joke in regarding the fact that he was killed in the very first issue of the Mirage TMNT Comics.Dead Metal wrote:"Haha, I am HERE! Coem and face you-"

I think that the type of person who can enjoy the crossover the most is someone who has exposure to TMNT history. There are in-jokes and times of self-awareness that you can only "get" if you've watched and read a fair bit of TMNT.
True, this wasn't perfect and not everyone was exactly spot on but the tone and treatment of the script seemed to come from the "right" spot. It felt like this wasn't simply a series special given a half-hearted effort in order to try to cash in on the remnants of TMNT fandom and awareness in the mainstream with kids. Even if this was the last of any TMNT cartoon produced, I feel satisfied with considering this as the final chapter of the animated turtles. Turtles felt a bit like a fond retrospective on the broad strokes/big points of TMNT history.

I've never really been into RPG's like that, the pen and paper kind. But after reading about it and the post TMNT versions of it, it sounds amazing. Anthromorphic superheroes(and villains)=amazing

I actually prefer the HERO System over other RPGs because while it is numbers heavy, it's the most adaptive RPG system I've come across. If you want to go into a more traditional hack 'n' slash number crunching D&D route, you can. If you want to go into a more RP heavy direction, you can too. It's a very robust RPG system and you don't need to get a dozen expansion books to feel like you have a complete system.
