I picked up RID Paralon recently and I've been very impressed. I nabbed him to primarily add to my growing motley crew of Insecticons. For the time being he has become the sabre wielding leader of the pack.
Paralon is a cool figure. Bot mode is definitely his stronger mode. The tail can be folded up or used to look cool and menacing. I'm loving the redonk shoulder pauldrons, but the partsformeriness kinda bugs me. Even the sillier looking bits work well; like his mittens and chickens legs. Cool fig and RID Scorponok is a BoS!
I've always had a soft spot for the Insecticons. They are easily one of my favorite G1 toys I remember playing with even though I never owned them. That platty reissue set is all the tempts. And suffice it to say, TR Kickback is much excitement for me
I'm surprised how much I hear the term "parts forming" when people are talking about that mold. I mean technically you can't remove them from the figure, soooo....
@All: tanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the pics, I enjoyed taking them. Much mo fun with an audience

I said "partsformery", they peg into the shoulders great, but moving them to the claws is a little janky and then they just rattle around. I wish there was a peg on the inside the hand would grip, you have to extend the arm a bit to get them to sit tight.
It's a minor nuisance on an otherwise excellent figure. Looks fantastic in bot mode, looks like a scorpion and transformation is on par with if not exceeding any of other current figures in either RID or TR. I take off bug-mode points for odd claws and legs that can't support its weight but he gets gold stars for that wonderful tail/stinger and a clean scorpion design.
I'm a happy camper and I plan to make this a duo if you like insectformers or RID nab you a bug, just be careful around that stinger

I've been taking pics, wanna see? Warning, pic heavy post.
First up let's talk about KFC's Mugan Scope. D-Maxing the most is considering buying this guy while he's on sale. Pics first, talks second
Yeah, that last one was for the IDW fans. Hell this figure is for the IDW fans. OK, how is he? Well he's definitely a $20 and below figure. Man does he looks the part though! This is 100% pure IDW badass pissed off sniper Perceptor. He's a great action figure that's posable and looks perfect standing next to Gen Kup and the rest of the Wreckers. If you notice I didn't transform him, because **** his transformation, seriously. I did it once and I thought I was going break him. Also neither "tank" nor "microscope" mode looks convincing. The do-dangle swinging arm that holds his "microscope" has become super sloppy fall off ball joint fun.
Back to the positives. Super clean bot mode, big ass honking sniper rifle and two sweet handguns that fit right into his thigh holsters. He even comes with two heads; the seen here target sniper head and a boring version.
All this comes down to - buy or not to buy. I got mine around $16... If you need to pad out your stack for free shipping then at $20, go ahead. If not skip, Gen Perceptor is an overall better figure.
Now let's talk about a figure I have a serious crush on. Takara's TAV Bloody Knockout
Yeah that last one is for the car fans out there. I liked it so much I sig'd it (I made up a word ). I feel that the Prime Knockout mold is a bit underrated. I just remembered how much I like this mold and this retool/redeco is amazingly mind-numbingly good. That deco, that **** sexy ass deco. Figures like this make me question why I even bother with Hasbro figures. Just UH, I need a second, seriously. I've been fiddling with this guy all day. Shake it off and move on.
Thunderdome Bloody Knockout has joined Starscream's post-apocalypse bandits as the necromancer of the team. Yup I said that; stop, re-read that last line. It's OK, I'll wait here. Note to self: headcanon photochallenge...
OK, moving on. We still have a few stops on this magical mystery tour.
I finally combined these two together.
Strafe's hips are a little loose and the extra weight is causing issues with posing. I'm super happy with the results and it will be a long time before I pull the two apart. I'm not going lie to ya, it was a beast to get them to fit just right.
Just an alternate shot I took while playing with shadows.
STOP! Hit play, then continue.
And that brings us to the main event. The thing that I'm the most excited about.
Down time on the Lost Light.
These shots are obviously from the TFPC#16. The final shot evolved from a simple two bot shot of Blaster and Rewind to a group shot of the Lost Lighters breakdancing. I had a lot of fun setting it up and I liked it so much that my LL display is now mostly just this.
Well I hope you enjoyed - night

Weapon: Armor Axe
Hmm, I'll remember the words Cary. Kinda not really worth it if the Transformation is such a ball-ache and the alternate modes don't really work. Also, I knew they made a Soundwave out of it (like, what??) and also a Shockwave?? holy....
I'm looking for parts, Help Me Out Please! Wanna talk? Or Rollerblade? Click below and head on over to the D-Max Den!!
Fan modes should be fun! I just realized I didn't update the last challenge thread with my photo ensemble from the 20th AE TFTM DVD cover did I? I'll go check..

Hey don't forget the challenges never expire, well not anymore. Just ignore and date requirements of the old challenges.
Post dem pics yo!
EDIT: the TF:TM had a short run because I timed it with the release of the remaster. I'm trying to get back to dropping new ones on the 1st of the month.

Word up
It's posted. Now to think of fan modes I haven't previously seen!
That Knockout mold is a great one. It's one of those funny molds I only have variants of. Bloody and Dark 'Gon. It's a great hood-for-chest transformation though.
Back alley break off is a dope scene!
I'll have to search the noodle for some fan modes, or just grab a hand full of Beast Wars guys and make something up.
Edit: @D, yeah his arms are too long and my shot wasn't very flattering. After I took the photobooth down I found a better way to pose him. I guess a pic is on order.

I'm really loving this headcanon I have going with these bots. They're all so pointy and evil looking. I think GO! Rachet may be the next on the get list.
