For those of you unfamiliar with him, Jamie Kennedy is an actor who is known for starring roles in such films as Malibu's Most Wanted, Son of the Mask, Harold and Kumar go to White Castle and the Scream series. However, one film he apparently WON'T be starring in is Transformers 3.
Recently, there was a report on Cinemabelnd.com that Grey's Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey and Jamie Kennedy were both likely to play roles in TF3. Apparently, that was only half right. Dempsey has been in fact confirmed, but now thanks to MTV.com we know the truth about Kennedy as well as how the rumor got started in the first place.
Cinema Blend reported earlier this week that both actors were in — the Dempsey news came from a translated interview with a Brazilian outlet and the Kennedy news came from an appearance he made on an Arizona radio station.
MTV News reached out to Kennedy's representation for confirmation, and they replied with the following statement: "This was taken out of context from a radio interview where Jamie mentioned he had auditioned for 'Transformers 3' and as a huge fan of the franchise, would love to be a part of it. At this time Jamie is in no way attached to the film." No other details about Kennedy's involvement are known, including the part he auditioned for in the first place.

I agree that every time around the fandom craves more strong robot character interaction and we get more humans.
I kinda think it's funny how a few years ago, a bunch of G1 fanboys got all pumped up because they heard "Spike" was going to be in the first movie.
As Blurrz said, Kennedy had been rumored on a lot of sites, some Transformers fansites, and some regular movie/Hollywood fansites as being in the movie - there hadn't been nearly as many retractions and we wanted to set the record straight.

The call goes out in Hollywood..."Hey! They're casting for the last Transformers movie!" Every has been actor who is looking to boost their career looks up. One says, "OMG! If i get a role in that, it'll boost my career!" Michael Bay says, "I don't care whos in the movie. Its the last one and the fans treated me like sh!t for the first 2. SOMEBODY CALL GARY COLEMAN!!!" Yup, it ain't a true has been movie until Gary Coleman shows up. Meanwhile, every has been that hasn't been yet is clamoring to drop the Transformers name in interviews to get press and hope it boosts their careers.
