Posponed due to 3-D? Yeah.......no. It's being postponed for two reasons.

- Panic due to Battleship sinking. (Pun intended.)

and

- Competing with The Avengers.

This. Bad call by Hasbro, or whoever's in charge of this. 3D is nothing but a useless gimmick designed to make movies cost twice as much.

Like it or not, 3d does bring in a bbigger audeince than non 3D flixs. So there is an audience.

Panic of Battleships failure maybe, but it doesn't have anything to do with the avengers. By the time G.I. joe came out, the Avengers would more than likely not been in theaters, and if it was, would have limited showings. G.I. Joe wouldn't have been directly competing with it.

I can believe it not testing well. I mean the directors only prior experiance was the Justin bebier movie and some other musical type movie. So it can be expected that he might have fallen short in an action flick. That sucks cause it did look good in the previews, but so did Battleship.

Aaaa... no spoilers dude. You can put that, but please cover it up with the 'spoiler' text option

It's not a spoiler, it's in the trailers and not a major part to the story, or at least it was.

Dude - it doesn't show what happens to him ultimately in that ambush. You shouldn't assume he's gone. Therefore -spoilerish material

Woof. First time I heard about this actually. Think it's somewhat lame but I can wait. Too bad they didn't do a Summer release.

thinkin about it more - I'm wonderin if they'll do a Nov or Dec. release if it's completed in time. Maybe not -i think a big Tom cruise paramount movie is comin out in Dec.

I was sooo looking forward to seeing this movie...Mostly for the new Cobra Commander and his more accurate appearance to the old cartoon/comic series.

Been meaning to post this: Yesterday I heard from my Hollywood/local sources that the Paramount's delay for 3D is bullcrap. The movie hadn't been testing well and they will reshoot to keep a certain key character from the first movie in. Heard that C. Tatum didn't want to do the film and wanted to be knocked off. But test screenings have shown that people want him in the movie. I don't mind him in. But it sucks not havin Ripcord, Scarlett, and Heavy duty. Baroness and destro look to be gone too. Lame! At least keep Scarlett, Baroness & Destro please!
