I'm simply surprised that anyone could be content to put the two together as (in my opinion) they don't look like they belong together.

OK, now that makes more sense. You're right, it's immediately obvious that the 2 weren't made as parts of the same figure. But I just can't pass up the Warden figure because it just looks like a marvelous piece of engineering, Having said that, unless PE follows with what would undoubtedly be the crowning achievement in toy design and give us a Maximus body to go with this head mode, Warden for me will mainly be used as his concept initially intended. The head of Fortress Maximus. But, as I said, this is just for me.

Also, with Warden being bigger (and IMO proportionate with the body) than Cerebros, I think Maximus will be able to looks Metroplex in the optics finally.

Well, my preorder listing shows it arriving January 23rd. That's, what, two months or so before its initial ETA? Damn!

He shall by my Fortress Maximus and Cerebro. I will only accept a human Spike for my Classics.

So, I arrive home today and this is waiting for me! This is turning into rather a decent week. I got Motormaster on Monday and now this. Unfortunately I have commitments tonight (mock exams then last 2 episodes of Breaking Bad) but I popped it out of the box and it looks gorgeous, beautiful, amazing, brilliant! Resplendent with meticulously applied, shiny paint apps. Nice and heavy thanks to the die cast and quality plastic. I guess I will comment regarding durability etc when I get the chance. It's the one concern I have following my experience with Motobot.

Please, please, please Scorponok next, on the same scale.

I never got G1 Fort Max and never really liked it so, for me, Warden is absolutely perfect in bot mode next to my Takara Jetfire, Optimus and Springer.

Actually, it surprises me that people want this toy as a head for another toy (a 25-year-old toy by the way), but to each their own I guess

I just don't see they belong together. I was never a big fan of citybots anyway so I'm more than happy with Warden's design and size in robot mode.

The Warden delay was due to a frustrating set of circumstances with customs. They did not clear it for a few days and due to that the airport started charging a storage fee. Our freight company paid the fee and then went to pick up the shipment but the airport lost the check and refused to release the freight. Our shipper verified the payment with them last night, but the airport did the exact same thing again today, sigh... Things should now be cleared up for a Monday delivery, apologies on the delay, just a string of bad luck on this one.

Probably because there were a lot of cancels.
I canceled too to get it somewhere else but they seem to have sold out on all the popular retailers that offers free shipping on orders over $150 so I put my orders back on with BBTS.

It turns out that this is just fine for me. ManiaKing is listed as coming in on the 27th too. I'll ship my POL next week.
