any free detectors out there? I've had similiar events happen to me in the past with popups blocked on google nad never found anything out about it. I've been surfing the net for hours after hte incident (well a while) and havent encountered anything yet. the scan is still running, hte firewall is and has always been up, etc.
I doubt its a fluke in hte system but until i can find proof that it is i cant assume that.

try lavasoft's adaware. or spybot search and destroy.
