RID, well..........it wasnt really transformers. At least, In japan it didnt start out as such. And the designs.....well, i mean yuck. "megatron" looks hideous as does optimus. The only good thing I can think of was all the g1 and g2 rehashes.

I pray you're not trying to denigrate the position of those who dislike BW by trying to insinuate that those who do like it are somehow more "imaginitive".

The only thing I disliked about Beast Wars, is that all my favorite characters died. Then again, the same thing happened in G1. But it started to change.. RiD there were less deaths, same thing with Armada.. with only a few main character dying.
But dying adds to the seriousness of the cartoon. And at least they didnt die in stupid ways like the G1 movie characters. Dinobot, Depth Charge, and Tiger hawk all went out as heroes! And Scorponok and Terrorsaur went out as chumps!
And beast machines......man there is a whole lot of dying going on there!
QFT!!!!
i still have to watch "code of hero", i'm taking my sweet time with it, not hurrying up...but i tell ya, BW's got the best storylines ever - much better than G1. don't believe me? watch it.
i know, because i got the whole G1 episodes in DVD, as well as the complete BW. in terms of depth of characters and seriousness, as well as humor (trust me, there are lotts of it), G1 doesn't even come close.
edit: and oh yeah (i JUST have to put this in LOL), who could not love an anti-hero with a penchant for quoting shakespeare? DINOBOT FTW!!!!![]()

Actually what i was suggesting was that if you look back at the track record of most G-1 Purists and those who back only machinery robot transformers, there seems to be a lack of tolerence of the new design aesthetics. But on the other hand, Beast Wars fans seem to be a little more enthusiastic and acceptant of newer designs. the movie discussions were proof enough, and with the advent of that design becoming more widely accepted, its made the animated series much more welcome.
imagination is a form of acceptence and tolerence, because your mind is more open when possibilities and imagination are in flux within your physche.
but yeah I was insinuating that those with one preference are less likely to be imaginative and concieve the possability that Beast Wars was actually pretty cool.

"Code of the Hero" is a great episode, and I'm not even afraid to admit that I still tear up a bit at the end.
And its unfortunate that Hasbro decided they didn't like the "dark" tone of BW and BM, preferring the light hearted RiD and Armada over Transtech, the proposed BM sequel.
Ah well.

My, that's a very serious accusation.
I assume you have proof in the form of a link to a post in which I have done such a thing?
I'll admit to some mild thread crapping way back when, but those were lost causes from the start, and never generated a discussion the likes of this one.

I need to do no such thing as "prove" your own assy comments when you admit to it yourself. Who actually tells another adult to "prove it"? I call em like I see em. Good grief, you're no better than anyone else making comments.
