Tom_Servo wrote:I admit it- painting is not where I shine. I know it. I've accepted it. I usually think about the paint as the chore at the end of the fun building project. On this project though, it has gone a bit lumpier than usual, but hey, it's Kup and I'm fully hiding behind the fact that his finish SHOULD look like hell.
Here're some updates- as you can see the joints are already chipped to hell. A little devil on my shoulder told me to just Photoshop them, but these aren't my finsished pics anyway.
Enjoy.
That gun is made from a Stormtrooper blaster by the way.
Tentagil- PM me.

zodconvoy wrote:For the windshield, try the plastic blister one of your figs came in. Paint or tint one side a different blue and glue the painted side down. Next, use a trim on the bottom and sides to make it look set in to the vehicle (see pic.)
By the way, while I do like the new color, I still prefer the old one.
Tom_Servo wrote:Thanks for the compliments everyone. I think I'm going to just paint on the window, but my other idea was to use adhesive chrome leaf.
His paint is actually a lot more vibrant than the pictures show. I'm going to tweak the pics a bit to make them more accurate.
Sonray, you askes about that hinge a while back. Any large hardware store should have a section of little hinges. As for how I made it- I'll post a diagram tonight.

Tom_Servo wrote:I bet you thought that I'd forgotten about this, but as promised, here's how to make your own backpack.
With the pieces in place fill the inside with hot glue where needed. Don't use the hot glue gun at full heat or it will warp the plastic. Unplug it and use it after it's cooled slightly. Once it's solid, sand the edges.
Or send me a bunch of money.
