I don't have MP Megatron. I don't like the look of it as much as I feel I should for the price. Plus, personally I'd rather they made him into a tank. So I put Classics Megs at the top. Between the other two, with the current prices, you may as well go with MP as #2. All imo, of course.

wow! so for you tis like this:
1) Classics Meg
2) MP Meg
3) some tank Meg, then G1 Meg??
I thought there were a lot of complaints about Classics
Meg, enough so that he would definitely NOT be #1,
but you know we all have our opinons, that's what
makes this world interesting!
wmpyr wrote:thanx for all the replies,
so can we conclude this:
this guy the way he is........... has a lot to be
desired?????
so in that case, is MP Megatron despite the many
problems in the OVERALL picture of things, still
for sure is better than nerfatron?
And furthermore, has MP Meg fallen off it's thrown?
so does that make the G1 reissue Meg the BEST OF THE BEST
of the Megatrons, esp. the recent releases?
so would you agree with this order?
1) G1 reissue Meg
2) MP Meg
3) nerfatron
or are there other Megs available right now
that are much better than nerfatron?
for example I'm not sure about this, but the
Beast Wars anniv. Meg (not the 2 pack in Toys R Us)
this version with the planet key, looks pretty good,
infact if I had to get a T-rex, or some kind of
monster that can chomp he seems WAY better than the
classics Grimlock, do you guys agree as well?

Actually, I meant that I wished they had made Masterpiece Megatron a gun, instead of a tank. But G1 Megs (the toy) is my least-favorite Megatron. The robot mode is just not good.
I know Classics Megs isn't perfect, but for me he ranks higher because he's a better figure than G1 Megs, and a better price than MP Megs. Plus, as I said, MP Megs just looks off to me, while I expect Classics Megs to look different.
Again, all imo, thanks for respecting that!

I kinda agree. The MP Megs, imo is freaking awesome. It could have been F_cking fantastic, but freaking awesome is good enough for me. For me it is a tie between MP megs and G1. MP Megs is, well, an MP. Enough said there. G1 megs is imo quite a piece of design and is imo, gorgeous. Plus it shoots, so its definately aces in my book.
Classics Megs, well, I hav found no redeeming qualities in mine yet. I wouldn't put it 3rd. Maybe WST Megs would be third for me. The Classics Megs is, well, how to put this nicely...pretty queer. The Wings, nerf dun look, colors...just doesn't do it for me.
Leonardo wrote:So, for me, Classics is number one, and G1 is third. I really like Energon Megatron, though.
Leonardo wrote:If I include Energon Megatron then he has to be #3, simply because I don't own G1 Megatron. My opinion of G1 Megatron is based solely on how he looks as a robot. As for his alt.mode, I couldn't care less. He's a gun. To me, so what? I don't like guns, I have no interest in guns, it's just a gun. Guns aren't cool or exciting. The realistic nature of the gun is superb, but I don't care for a realistic gun. I only really like Classics Megatron for his robot mode, though the deciding factor is his head sculpt!
Energon Megatron is a good, solid, fun toy. He's got a few different weapons, even his tank has two uses (three if you include the tank mode by itself) and can be attached in robot or alt. mode. His alt.mode has a nice domineering shape, his robot mode has a commanding presence, and he has little hints to G1 Megatron and G1 Galvatron.
Leonardo wrote:He is quite big, one really needs a decent Optimus to face off against him. As it stands at the moment, he's displayed next to my G1 Galvatron and isn't any taller than him (though he is wider, due to the wings). He used to be next to PM Prime and they looked fine.
Leonardo wrote:See, I don't mind the shape. It just looks like a Cybertronian blaster. I don't see a Nerf gun at all. If it didnt have the green, purple or orange it would look better.
wmpyr wrote:gentlemen, is color that big of a deal compared to
some of the other defects?
here is a refresher:
negatives list thus far...
-no rub sign!
-safety orange
-neon green
-moth wings
-mess of a transformation (MP makes him tame though)
-shell transformer
-nerf gun
-PBC on bottom of arm
-scope is blurry
-gun form is a bit small
-eyes are not red
-scope is not secure
-what's with the purple?
-hard to balance
