Takara superior QC. Hoo, you guys crack me up.

The problems with Ironhide aren't anything to do with QC, so unless Takara come up with a new mold, it's gonna have the same problems.
Overcracker wrote:you haven't heard of a Hasbro Ratchet, because there won't be one at least not for a while.
Ratchet for now is a Takara Japan only item.

Sledge wrote:It is. I just couldn't resist poking fun at it.
From reading Matt Booker's quide, it looks like the problem was a change to the design fairly late in the day. Fixable, but I don't see the mold getting modified as much as it would need.
Evil_the_Nub wrote:There were some pics of the prototype around a while ago. He's what you'd expect, a repaint of Ironhide with the lights on the top.

Sledge wrote:El Duque wrote:You feel it's superior or you feel it's a myth?
It's a myth. The stuff is made from the same molds in the same factories, as far as I know. People just like to think they're getting something more than a different paint job when they buy a Takara figure instead of a Hasbro one.

shortround wrote:The main reason you won't see a universe classics Rachet here in the states is not because it takara/tomy exclusive, it is because he is a main character in the animated series and hasbro has stated time and time again that if a figure is in one line it won't appear in the other that is why we haven't got a classic Blitzwing.

That does not in any way mean that Hasbro will not eventually decide to release a Ratchet. but not until animated is off the shelves.
