I think that Custom designers have come along way, and that hasbro designers are gonna have to take their projects up a level or two, and that their classic custom toys fill a need for a more accurately designed toy, that I feel Classics could have gone in their designs aesthetically..and pulled off great accurate G-1 toys..

And that the Customizer companies are getting better all the time and someday will be competiton for Hasbro and their toys, if Hasbro doesn't step it up... I still support Hasbro..

And you got out of that, that I hate classics because I'm too cheap to get the Botcon seeker set???

yeah i'm the only one who bitched about the Botcon exclusive seekers, and I totally made this thread to do the same, under the suspicuously titled theme of custom toys versus Hasbro's toys.. you absolutely right.. your a fricking Genius, it's a wonder why your not working for nasa, or working for Hasbro!!

And if you reads my posts carefully you'll see I don't hate the entire line.. I think the line is great, but I'm talking about a different line of figures all together, and I use the Classics in this case as an example of what could be done, if you actually read my posts and not acted as an ass to seem smart, you'd freaking realize that.. but that's the difference betwen a cry baby and an idiot I guess...

Also why does thinking Hasbro can do better, mean I think they are EVIL?? Or why does disagreeing with the Botcon seekers Not being released mass retail make me a cheap person??

here is a funny little thing that I seem to keep in the back of my head, when on the forums flaming and recieving flames I have to go back and double chek my spelling, because we don't want that to be an issue.. it's like an unconcious thing now..does anyone else feel like that??

Actually I was being recruited during 2005 for tactical GIS work as I finished my Master's degree but due to the whole shake up they had there, I think a lot of things fell through.

No that was deliberate, and it wasn't a flame attempt just me stating something I think about as in the heat of Text combat..I was trying to see if others have that on their mind in that situation as well..

here is a funny little thing that I seem to keep in the back of my head, when on the forums flaming and recieving flames I have to go back and double chek my spelling, because we don't want that to be an issue.. it's like an unconcious thing now..does anyone else feel like that??

You can call it whatever you want. I'm going to call it "I don't have a good enough job so I can't spend $250 on a Botcon set."

However, I'm sure you will say "I had the money, I couldn't justify spending it on 5 figures!". That's the same excuse everyone on the mighty Internets uses to justify why they don't have something they really want.

I would have bought you a set myself last July had I known I would have to read your tears for the next 4+ months.

and as far as me bitching or crying about it for 4 Months.. I did think this was a discussion thread, and I wasn't bitching about Botcon recently.. I may have mentioned it once or twice, but the last full rant was over 2 months ago when I had a large crew of posters coming down on my arse in full procession..

I still dislike the Botcon choice for the seekers, but I really haven't made an issue out of it recently.. why do you have to bring that up.. it's like you missed out on the jumping session 2 months back..

They are about:

Wanting to see Hasbro do Better

Pointing out aesthetic changes that would have been cool

Wishing Hasbro could do a Seperate line that embodies the G-1 Look like the customizers have done..

Hoping Takara Tomy does classics Megatron in Silver and Black since they don't have the same toy gun laws..

That's pretty much it.. you have a hard time letting go of my past rantings on the botcon stuff.. that was 2 Months ago!!

Again I may have mentioned it off and on, but that's not the same thing..as the ranting that you refer to.. give it a rest..

I'm not sure whether this belongs in this thread or the "Classics Let-down" thread as they're quite similar in sentiment but I honestly think some of the Classics designs are out and out better than their G1 counterparts. Bumblebee, Mirage and the Seekers spring to mind and, in all honesty, cab-for-cab I prefer Voyager Optimus to G1 Optimus.

oh and I wasn't trying to get this thread on about classics, I just thought that was a good toy line to use as an example of what would be nice to see Hasbro do in terms of taking the custom styles these guys are doing and applying them to an actual toy line..modifying them for toy safety an sturdiness of course..

and the reason was because I like the aesthetics of the custom designs.. and the minute I said I wasn't satisfied with classics, I got jumped on by a number of people.. this thread was supposed to be about design, and likeness in essence, and how close these customs can get, and that is something I'd like to see Hasbro do..

why and how it turned into a classic issue, and defense thread is beyond me.. maybe I screwed up in my presentation, and I don't for the life of me understand where JT came off jumping my Shite on the Botcon seeker issue..??? WTF?

but if we can get back to sanity, I wanted to know if these customs make people wonder...can Hasbro do it and do it better??

hands down Epsilon is the best version. I like the cartoony look to her. The Rabid Squirrel sucks, and didn't I hear something about that guy being a complete Ass?

Some of the custom Transformers out there really blow me away. The more accurate they can make the new 'Universe' classics, the happier I'll be.

I'm a big fan of nwheeljack's Bumblebee(as seen in Seibertron's kitbash forum)


Naturally there's reasons why Hasbro couldn't do this, but it does show that transforming blocky G1-style is definitely possible. Masterpiece Prime was a similar revelation.

I'm sure such amateur efforts don't have the finesse Hasbro can manage when it comes to having nice joints that click and swivel and snap together just right, but it does show what can be done with the forms and what can be done to make the bulk fit. In my opinion these figures are more inventive in their transformations, and look better than 90% of the official stuff.

That has been my arguement all along, not that classics suck, but that hasbro should do something like the customs, and that when I heard about classics.. I thought that was what they were doing..

They didn't and did in a sense.. but I want the accurate ones..and not a sense of them..But Generation One accurate, like the custom kitbashers can do, but only through Hasbro.. I know they can do it.. I just know they have that ability..

that is why I say, step it up hasbro.. lets bring the G-1 Back to the toyline with animation accurate figures..Bumblethumper your cool in my book.. see It's not about Hating classics, just wanting to see the level of G-1 accuracy that customs and Kitbashes can bring, but on the level of joints and fittings that work with Hasbro's designers..

Some of the classics figures are more along the lines of some of the G1 homages they've done in the past, such as on the Cybertron line. Classics Prime has significant differences from G1. This doesn't bother me so much when they've already done more accurate versions with Masterpiece, Hybrid-style and Robot Master Primes.

But it would be nice to have a G1-accurate Prime in scale with the other Classics figures. Be nice to have a decent classics Megatron to go along with it as well.

These customs and kitbashs give a tantalizing glimpse of what is possible and what might have been. It's a pity those that have been reproduced have been limited to small runs at exorbitant prices. It would make my day if any of them ever found their way into affordable mass production, either through legitimate or illegitimate channels(I'm thinkin' hi-quality KOs).

I would support that, only I would want Hasbro to do it.. but I would support it none the less if Hasbro said they weren't going to do it.. and some Custom Company did the High quality transformers toys.. KOs if you will..

I just really wish we could get stuff like the JizaiToys customs, Arcee, others and such, but in scale and of quality like that of Cybertron or Classics toys..

I don't often say this but skywarp-2 is right hasbro has droped the ball with transformers. I picked up the first 25th aniv cobra five pack which comes with destro,baroness,storm shadow,cobra commander in his blue dress uniform, and a cobra trooper. These figures are super detailed I can't begin to discribe just how many different things are included with them and the figure detail is amazing for something that size. But if hasbro put half this much energy into the transformers classic line or even as skywarp-2 sugjested a line of super detailed anime accurate g1-figures they would have transfans scrambling to get a hold of them much like I image the g.i. joe fans are doing with these.

As I've stated many times before, I'm no fan of G1. However, I must agree with this. If G1 (or at least the characters and their designs) was handled correctly in Classics, you'd see me buying them by the boatload.

I bought every single Classics figure (though I sold off Ultra Magnus...blech. and couldn't afford the BotCon Seekers) and they were fantastic, but could've used a little more work. Hot Rod (screw that "Rodimus" crap) needs a better arm design. Those ball joint sockets are stressed and could break in time. Forget accessories for a moment, lets go with the overall quality. Masterpiece Starscreams are breaking as we speak. That oversight could've been modified slightly, or even completely corrected.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate everything that Hasbro has done, but seriously...it's time they put some extra work into these figures.

Takara at least went for show accuracy on a lot of their figures, Hasbro dropped the ball there.

We could go on and on and on, but until they do something about it, we're basically just slamming our heads against a brick wall.
