can you really call that mess of parts a trailer when they're not attached to him? Plus its not even supposed to be a trailer... its supposed to be the back part of a futuristic fire truck. Think along the same lines as RiD prime.Nekoman wrote:That’s weird, I was going to post something else in this thread, but CP literally stated every thought I had about this thread, I agree 100%.skywarp-2 wrote:Prime's trailer
Cybertron Prime has a trailer.

They completely missed a great opportunity there with the Mini-Cons.

I miss things like the cassettes working with one or two guys, then you had a group of bugs and dinosaurs witha microscope rolling around...
And while there where subgroups gallore, even up until RID, they each had their own little gimmicks, and they where fun.
When the gimmick became the focus of the line, and not the figure though, yeah, it got alittle redundant.
I miss the experimentation, the trying different things with each figure instead of each line, I'd like to see them go back to that.

To be fair, "a willingness to try anything" just came from being made up of several toylines.

Exactly, they just threw in whatever they could and made it work! In the Beast Era it began to tapper, RID held on alittle, but in AEC it was Minicons, powerlinks or hypermode, and then those friggin planet keys!
Classics had a triplechanger(who I like), but not much else. Titanium and ALts were pretty much the same deal, but these were collector's lines, filler and not realy even ment to be opened.
(So I got dups, how could I resist!?!)
But then the movie, bang automorph. Granted there where multiple levels to that line, but each level centered around what, a single gimmick!
Now I know everyline has some bot that breaks the mold like Barracade housing Frenzy and all. And especialy the movie was a focused run.
But especialy to AEC, come on, push an envelope!
For example, Cybertron is long over, but who wouldn't want more drones for SoundWave. A minicon set of just those not only would have sold well, but it would have also pushed sales of the figure. Maybe with the eventual repaint, maybe universe release we'll see it.
So basicly, all I'm saying in this thread, is I miss the variety of things(both hit and miss)that we use to get.

It's all good, I've done it myself, but thanks for seeing my point.
As to Gauntlet101010, again, thanks for agreeing, but what you said about the masters, I have a rebuttle for. In their time, you hade Target Masters, Micro Masters, Head Masters, Power Masters, Breast Masters, and Brain Masters all interacting with eachother at the same time in both the toy and the shows along with Pretenders, Bases, Combiners, 6 changers, Weird Ass Things, SparkBots and so on and so on...
It was all happening at the same time on a large scale. Today you wouldn't get that, and as I've said befor, I miss the variety in the types of bots and gimmicks, and how they all interacted. It was like yeah there's some factions, but races as well within said factions.
