PrimeSuspect wrote:If one more person talks about how many 20th Primes their Wal-Mart has, I'm gonna barf. Seriously, I have never seen one in real life, and certainly not in a Wal-Mart. Meanwhile, I've been waiting for my backordered, full-price 20th Prime from BBTS since it was arriving in August (WHERE IS IT?!), and everyone's talking about getting them for 20-50 bucks.
If my Wal-Mart is as flaky as it is normally with MP SS, I'm never going to get one. Ever. And that pisses me off, because MP SS is a figure I really f*cking want.

For once the original thread is still in use when talking about an upcoming release instead of a new one starting up every other day. (Yes I know we still see the occassional MP SS thread, but this is a huge improvement over the last few months).
Nice job!

I've seen this alot, so I thought I'd give ya'll an explanation...
The coloring on the MP SS is that of an F-15E Strike Eagle, which is a DEEP grey...some of the newer ones have the "blueish" tint to it. The F-15A-D's have the light silver color to them.
SOOOoo as hideous as everyone says MP SS looks, it is accurate to the real world F-15E (which MP seems to be modeled after). I am all about the G1 repaint coming out, but despite not having a MP SS from Takara, I loved it's coloration. You could put that on your desk in my old squadron and no one would ever guess it was a Transformer... That's the beauty of it. After all, isnt that what Transformers are about???
You're not going to be in much of a disguise in the real world being painted white with red trim

I'm thinking I'll just go with DevastaTTor and order him online. Only problem there is nobody has either the USA or Japan version up for pre-order.
Swerve wrote:I'm suprised no one has been going on about how this new show accurate color Hasbro SS better have the coronation gear. Everyone threw such a fit over that when MP-03 came out despite Starscream only having it for about 3 seconds in the '86 movie.

Autobot032 wrote:Is that what they corrected on the Skywarp mold? The hips? It doesn't look like it's anything fragile to me. Perhaps I'm missing something?? O_o

You aren't missing anything. I remember people needlessly went on about MP-03 and all it's "faults" when it came out. Some of the threads were ridiculous about all that stuff. I think what it boiled down to was it wasn't "anime accurate" and they didn't like the new colors used. Then it was just a downward spiral into people nitpicking every little thing.

I think that horse has been beaten to death a long time ago.;-)
However, MP 3 will serve as a nice little TC fill in for the time being and then be relegated to generic seeker status for which he is well suited.

My complaints were:
A.) His price. (It's 98% plastic and doesn't have any gimmicks that demand that price.*)
B.) His "skirt". (I know why it was designed like that, but it's goofy looking. Fortunately there's a way around it, so it's no longer a problem.)
*= I don't require lights and sounds, automated electronics and whatnot to enjoy a TF, and I realize that the main gimmick is what it should've been always...transforming, incredible detail, etc. But...prices of that type generally bring you something like Ultimate Bumblebee, etc...so I want it to do more than be a piece of plastic. Which is why I'm fine with $60.00 (plus tax) but anything beyond that is just a ripoff.

What is the "way around" his "skirt?" I don't have the MP release but the skirt does seem like a problem just from looking at the galleries.

Just pop it off the balljoints and leave the pieces attached to his outer shin. Looks more G1-esque. Or you can just remove them altogether.
