kinda tempted to get my calculator and tf price guide and start adding.
but then again, maybe i won't.

Aww come on man. Do it for the community.

only if you say that with brock samson's voice

You know, I kinda agree, but I also understand where she's coming from. I mean, if she has kids & hasn't sold them, she's gunna have to either:
- let the kids ruin the legacy her late husband built together with her in a way only children can. (I imagine lots of smashing noises & "Daddy, fix ittt~!!!")
or
- tell her kids that they cant play with the amazing figures they have so readily available, just crying out for playtime...

I think it'd be less evil to sell the collection, it's probably what he would have wanted. I mean, who wants to torment a kid like that???

For her asking price, she could have at least thrown in free shipping.
Then Again if you have a cool $1million to spend on this set, whats another grand?

After looking through the entire collection, including all of the "merch," I'd estimate the current market value at somewhere in the area of 100,000 USD. The packaging is in tremendous shape and that gives a good bump to a lot of them. If you have a million dollars to spend on toys (that is, a million dollars of disposable income) then this is not a terrible buy. Collecting MIMB versions of all of these figures would take a lot of time and effort. If you are looking to assemble one of the best possible collections in the minimum amount of time (perhaps, for example, you want to set up a museum display) then this is the way to do it.

I don't care what kind of condition they're in, for the ENTIRE 1984-1991 TF collection, it's not worth over 5 grand. I've spent more than that opn my collection, but then again, I'm re-collecting some of them that are loose, out of box, & 20 years old. I'd never pay $1 mil for ANY TF, even if it is a 200 story Optimus Prime...........

If it transformed I would for sure

I do believe that the story about how they were her dead husbands collection is in violation of eBays TOS... But damn.. a near complete MIB G1 collection... damn...

I do agree that she should split up the collection and sell it off as individual pieces.. SHe would get ALOT more that way than what ever the highest offer will be

I don't think she is after getting market value for the collection. She is basically asking for charity money. If only one of the actors or producers sees this please give me 1M. so that I can go to vet school.

Great collection, sucky story, but waste of the posting fee for a million dollar auction. I'm sorry, but I'd rather take my million bucks and get me a Ferrari Enzo. TF collection be damned. :P

Weapon: Dark Saber Sword

I say not even close, because when Takara decide this time with the new Re-issue serie encore to bring all the G1 Transformers out again those will lose his price more as in the half. And that's really friendly cause those were maded in Japan not in China. 8)

Blitzwing, Sixshot or Devastator would be the only ones I'm interested in. If it was a good price.

If I had 1million to spend on tf's, the world would not be a good place to live. Dum de dum de dum. 8)

What's the difference between normal Prime and megs, and the movie versions listed at teh bottom of those lists?

She's like race car driver Augie Cahnay from the episode Trans Europe Express. She wants her million bucks too. She's got to know very few people have that kind of money. I doubt they would be blowing it in a used Transformers collection. Brand new or other wise.

That collection she has is probably worth 5,000 to 10,000 dollars at the most. She would probably get a bit more than that if she tries selling it separately. Like a poster said here previously.

I have never seen anything like the ebay novel she wrote in the description column, I do believe that only a woman would try and pull on the heart strings of the ebay global marketplace, in an attempt to line her pockets with a million dollars.

The collection is impressive, true, the bots look mostly immaculate, also true, but a million dollars for 3-4 years worth of transformers and the knowledge that they were collected on the dollar of a dead man is ridiculous. A million dollars would be too much if she had every production TF created!

I think I would be less irritated about the auction without the backstory. Or if I knew that she accidentily added too many zeroes to the opening bid.

Bottom line, if this chick gets out of debt and becomes a vet on the back of TF fans, I will laugh long and hard.

The only collection I can think that would come close to a million dollars is Ryan's. People these days are stupid enough. You can make a good amount of money if you have some food that looks like the face of Jesus or watch that segment on Jay Leno with the "Stuff We Found On eBay".

Yah, no. His are not sealed, so I'd highly doubt its even close.

Every singal TF ever made in a sealed box wouyld not be a million. Maybe like 300k is my guess. Can anyone with some time and a calculater verify that?
