You could try not griping and embrace the impending realisation that with each passing day more and more backers are required on average.

Hey even I get some angelmoss in my spark casing sometimes. I always forget how to spell it so I'm just going to call it angelmoss energy now.

Even though my interest in this Unicron is now pretty damn low and I'll never back it, I sincerely wish for this absurd thing to be made.
Especially because it may open the door to more insane projects for the future.
Like a genuine MP Metroplex that will scale within the MP line perhaps?

With how many people have been lamenting about Unicron's size I don't think that's ever going to happen. Not officially anyways.
"Where will you display that thing?"
"How will you play with that thing?"
Aye carumba.
I saw on line a cool custom Metroplex who looks like he could tombstone piledrive me but who would mass build that and then buy that. It'd be all the same rigmarole all over again. After this I think downscaling may be the wise way to go. I do see more of a playability with something that's a huge city than just a death world I get the value in that regard.

Well, a MP Metroplex that would be truly in scale would be big like a house and feature tech that may kickstart the Mech Warrior / Gundam age.
Seriously, that'd be wicked cool if I could witness this while I still live.

Nah, he probably saw the MP-scaled Metroplex custom that I sent to the news crew (*nudge nudge wink wink, news it, guys*), which is the size of a large piece of furniture and still scales excellently with the official MPs (as seen in the photos).-Kanrabat- wrote:Well, a MP Metroplex that would be truly in scale would be big like a house and feature tech that may kickstart the Mech Warrior / Gundam age.

If this doesn't go through, what if Unicron gets reimagined as a Kreo set?

Speaking of necroing a dead line, might as well revisit the Action Masters.
I want a JI-Joe-like Unicron action figure that ride a M.A.S.K type of vehicle going all pew-pew on his adversaries!

Right now, we're stuck in the dead lull of the campaign's middle. With how these kinds of things are, there will not be another big surge until the waning days of the end, when there's a greater sense of urgency. We just have to wait until then for any more big excitement.

Are there really over 2000 British fans both willing and able to pay this kind of money? North American backers are all in, by now, so its completely up to the British at this point.

I haven't placed my order yet.
I imagine I'm not alone since the whole point was to give people more time to save and pay which likely wont happen until the end of this week or next. People that couldn't pay in August may be able to in September. And it's not just UK/Europe, we don't know if the real time tally includes Takara Tomy Mall, EB Games AU or any other partner sellers that also extended their deadlines. For all we know this could already have hit its goal and we're just waiting for Hasbro to raise the number like they did the week before the original deadline. Knowing them they're waiting until NYCC to make the big announcement or hoping to anyway.

Nah, Hasbro needs a win. After the first failure of this thing, and the failure of Cookie Monster, if they had the numbers, they'd be shouting it from the roof tops.

Don't forget that places like BBTS and TFSource still haven't submitted any of their order numbers to Hasbro, so all of those sites are gonna to the total as well.

Weren't those numbers that 1500 surge at the end of the first deadline?

Nope. That was the aforementioned sense of urgency that comes about at the end of such campaigns.Ironhidensh wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Don't forget that places like BBTS and TFSource still haven't submitted any of their order numbers to Hasbro, so all of those sites are gonna to the total as well.

TFSource was going to halt all preorders on August 30 so that they could sumbit their numbers to Hasbro on that day. But since the deadline was extended the day before, TFSource did not stop preorders or submit their numbers, instead continuing to take more preorders until the new deadline.

No, I don't think that's correct. There was a literal addition of 1500 backers added to the total, which was supposedly a combination of TT Mall and "various retailers."
In fact, someone on the computer side of Pulse messed up the entry, and changed the total to "1,500" instead of adding it in. So it went from like 3,500, to 1,500, then up to 5,000 (approximately, just to reference how the numbers bounced). A data entry error clearly happened in putting in the non-standard Pulse orders.

That's what I thought had been reported on various other Transformers news sources. I've said it before, but given the size of this figure, let alone the price, I think 8000 was much to high of a target to set.

I know EB Games/Zing were going to be adding their figures at the end of the initial deadline, however, seeing as they extended the pre-order as well I wonder if they gave the initial numbers (which would have contributed to the 1500) and will add more at the next deadline or if they held off.
Why would they news a CUSTOM that wasn't even posted in the Transtopia forums?

12 days to go.
Will they pathetically extend the deadline yet again, thus making the deadline pointless?
The real action will happen in 10 days I guess.

I wonder, if the actual total gets close enough (like within 500), if Hasbro won't fudge the numbers to get it up to 8000 and get it made. It's hard to walk away from $4.5 mil when it's that close. Even though if they did bump the numbers up, in reality it would be closer to 4 million than 4.5. Still, that's a big pile of scratch. Or, they could just straight up come out with it and say "you know what? We're 500 short but we love our fans and we'll make it anyway!" Would that make them look ballsy or ridiculous?
