The Seibertron galleries are what started it all for me again.

Ben Yee's website was an even bigger wallet-tugger for me when it was active and reviewing stuff. I owe him one 'cos I'd've never got Dropkick otherwise.

I would have been all over this topic but I needed to take a break from the site for a few weeks. I've had some other stuff going on but that's definitely not the whole reason.

Ironically, a big part of it has been that money is tigether than usual and when I'm here I hear about all the cool stuff and just want it really really bad. Peer pressure, maybe? I don't know.

Of course, you don't know real TF peer pressure until you're standing next to Geekee1 and CP in a TRU.

Delicon - You know what, the figure is cool and all but I'm just not sure I really need it.

I thought I was bad, but after hearing some stories, I feel better about my habit. My family always scoffs when I talk about Transformers, so I just keep it out of conversation. There is a time and place for all of that. My prize piece in my collection is my Universe Unicron that I still refuse to take out of the box, but he is tempting. I'm single and have no children, so I'm pretty set on my priorities. I just paid off my car and Valentine's Day is coming so I splurged and bought Animated Ultra Magnus, Universe Cheetor, Cyclonus, Starscream, Brawn, Beachcomber and Robot Heroes Cheetor Vs. Blackarachnia. I wouldn't know about half of this stuff if it wasn't for this site. I don't intend to get any exclusives and Masterpieces and Henkei's. I'm happy to just walk into a store and grab a few, or fill my arms with figures.

Also, there is only one Transfan at my job and he doesn't buy a lot. We do discuss comics and the various series, but I miss my fellow collector brethren to share our stories and treasures with. Sometimes, we'd come in on our days off with our newest figure to show eachother what they looked like.

That's why I love this site...I seroiusly don't have ONE friend who gives a flying **** about Transformers...I have a couple who are nice enough to humour me if I can't stand it anymore and just HAVE to talk about an awesome new figure I bought but for their sake, I really try to keep it to a minimum...In fact, nobody aside from my 4-year-old son has ever even SEEN my collection...

But I can come on here and bitch about stuff or gloat over some new purchase and someone will actually KNOW what I'm talking about

I would probably be pretty bad if I could actually buy Transformers here in Brighton, UK - but there is only one toy shop (TRU) and it's crap because they either overstock or sell out and don't order more.

This has led to what is becoming a huge G1 addiction. This month alone I've bought Reflector, Thundercracker, Skywarp, Dirge, Swoop.

My wallet hurts.
