Well, well, well...I actually got an email from Walmart, my Sparkless Seeker has shipped
. Of course now, I can almost guaranty you that when I go to Walmart later today, it will be on the shelf...

I'm just amazed at evidence that Walmart actually ships pre-orders (or at least creates shipping notifications). I haven't had anything make it that far before finding it in store and cancelling, or having them cancel on me.

It's funny, Every time these come up I order everything that's available and then end up buying them all in store because I find them there first and the Deluxes are cheaper. But out of all three waves the one thing they did ship out to me without canceling or just plain leaving in limbo is the Spoiler sets. All three shipped without any issues and that's what I have coming on Thursday. Very strange how those seem to get set aside for special treatment.

Actually, now that you mention it, I might have gotten the wave 2 spoiler set from Walmart. It was either them or Pulse (don't remember), I skipped waves 1 and 3.

I got spoiler set #2 from Walmart online. I suspect ( well with sets 2&3 at least) it is because they were/are not being sold in stores so there is less issue getting them for online orders. (Spoiler #1 they put on clearance very quickly, an indication they didn't really want it in stores in the first place) I had set 3 also pre ordered, but Pulse got it first, so I cancelled Walmart.
If I could have ordered the sparkless seeker from Pulse I would have, but it seems quantities were very limited. Also if I had found it in store first, I would have cancelled my pre order as well.

Managed to snag him for less than a modern Deluxe off of eBay incidentally. He's always been one of my favourite TF designs so I'm hoping he lives up to the hype!
Anyway, Netflix TFs. Is the Spoiler pack with Skellivore worth buying? I don't own any version of Siege or ER Megatron and he looks like a decent version to have, plus he comes with a cool clear-purple Paleotrex.

If you have ZERO of the many, many versions of this Megatron, then yes I'd say it is worth it. I personally just got it for Skellivore, and was able to split the cost with another fan who wanted the Megatron.
If you have zero interest in Megatron, then I'd say skip it, unless like me you REALLY REALLY wanted Skellivore

Did you like the Netflix show? This version and its accessories are a good representation across all three seasons. I'll probably only use him that way with the Matrix strapped across his chest.
This is my third version of this mold, not including two of the Earthrise retool. That's too many, but at least one is good.

I got the spoiler pack a few weeks back and I've really enjoyed Megs more than I expected. I had the original Siege deco which looks so bland compared to this version's metallic paint. His only flaw is his fusion-cannon's paint being a bit weird:
It's painted silver on one half and black on the other, I assumed this was to give the tank mode a silver top... but it's on the wrong side. Unless you reverse the intended attachment, the silver will be visible in robot mode and hidden in tank.

I disagree. I remember the consensus being that he was the least liked of all Siege voyagers. And I agreed to that, still do. I still dislike the head not locking anywhere and the feet sticking out in tank mode. For such a simple design (and transformation) they really went out of their way to make him even less appealing.

The head feature was fixed in the Netflix version (at least the 1st have voyager one which I have).
As for Siege Voyagers, Megatrron was probably the weakest of the lot agreed. But... Of the (9??) or so versions of this Megatron, I believe the Netflix Deco is the favorite among fans (at least probably until the SG one comes out)...

Don't forget that all of the other Siege voyagers were pretty great. Good would be a pretty fair descriptor for the Siege Megs mold by comparison. Bot mode is pretty solid, transformation is decent, and has been the best general representation of Megatron at the Voyager scale yet (I consider the ER retool a downgrade from Siege). I share your 2 gripes above, but both are fairly minor to me.

No, at least not what Will and most others (myself included) would consider fixed. The main gripe is that the head doesn't lock or tab into place anywhere, it just floats in the chest cavity. The original Siege release had a loose neck plate that was fixed in the later releases, but that isn't what the (at least my) problem with the design was.

The head issue was not fixed, there is still no locking in. If you found the 1 figure with a locking head, that would have been some front page worthy news. The ankle issue was fixed though.

It's my understanding that in the first two releases (Mainline Siege and 35th anniversary), the head was loose and floppy, it just lowered into the chest with little to no force applied, and would not really hold at all (as you say "float").
However the First Voyager Netflix Siege version (that I have *I just pulled it off the shelf to reexamine for sure), it is firm, and tight. No there is no locking tab, but it holds great, as one would expect. I cant attest to any of the Selects or other versions (ER?) if a tab or locking mechanism was added later, but IMHO it was "fixed" in that there was a flaw in an earlier version, and in the version I have, it is improved. It may not be the fix that was wanted by some, but it is there. He doesn't look like he's constantly hanging his head in shame, and that is good enough for me.

My original Siege Megs was fine in the neck area and wasn't floppy, same goes for the Arctic cammo one. I sold my original Siege when I got the first Netflix one, and that was noticeably stiffer for the neck plate, despite neither of my other 2 being bad at all. I haven't gotten any of the other Siege or ER versions so I can't compare across all the uses.

It is not. Siege megatron never had a floppy head. It simply never locked in. Which was a gripe many shared and wasn't fixed. That's what I said, specifically, to which you replied.
o.supreme wrote:The head feature was fixed in the Netflix version
Which is untrue in regards to what I said. Plus, the original, which I also own, held his head fine. Netflix was stiffer, but that didn't help the main complaint since the original could still hold his head up regardless. The fix we wanted never came.
The biggest difference between Siege Megs and Netflix Megs in terms of molding and tightness is in the ankles.
That is all.

Your original comment
There was no mention of a tab or not. Mine locks in that it does not move once it is in place. Again...semantics. If you said you specifically didn't like that there was no tab to keep Megaton's head from moving that would be different.

I never found that it was an issue with Megs. The only thing I don't like about the mold is the chest does that weird origami thing when transforming and you must often use force to align the tabs to peg in. But otherwise, it's a solid mold.

Got Nemesis Prime in the other day. Here are some RID badbois (with Bombshock as stand-in for ruination)
I find it fitting that when in storage, I have Smokescreen inside Optimus's trailer and now I can have Barricade inside Nemesis's trailer
Now I can give T30 Blitzwing his sword back because I prefer this one for Cyclonus for now
Finding storage for this sword was difficult, though. I used the landing gear to hold it to the bottom. I think it adds to his wings and looks sort of cool?

After watching Kingdom on Netflix and seeing that Nemesis Prime is a future version of Optimus Prime and servant of Unicron, I figured if Galvatron got troops from Unicron, why shouldn't Nemesis Prime? And why shouldn't those troops be reformatted deceased Autobots? Since Cyclonus, "Armada", Scourge, and Sweeps were formed from 2 dead Seekers and 3 dead insecticons (or at least those are the main dead bots I remember), in my head the two vans (Ironhide and Ratchet) would be the answer to Cyclonus and Scourge, and the 3 Datsun bros would be the answer to "Armada" and a couple sweeps. But from my available decepticons, I couldn't really put something like that together. So I improvised:
-Nemesis Prime as we know looks like Optimus because he willingly went to unicron and didn't need a new body
-Barricade I like to think of as either a version of Prowl that survived the events of TF:TM, realized that Nemesis was right and willingly followed him (hence the lack of a reformatted body), but killed Smokescreen when he got in Prowl's way. As a cruel joke, Unicron gave Prowl Smokescreen's face when making him into Barricade. Either that or he's a version of Smokescreen that concluded Prowl's death in TF:TM was a result of his own weakness, and when joining unicron he adopted the police car alt mode as a warped version of what Prowl stood for, or a mockery of it idk im not a writer
-Spinister I think of as a reformatted Powerglide, the once daring and warm Autobot now a cold and cowardly Decepticon
-Skytread I considered to be a reformatted Brawn, but arrived at him formerly being Warpath instead. The loud fun-loving Autobot now a quiet and brooding Decepticon. Still triggerhappy though
-Doubledealer I originally thought of as former Ironhide, since he's sometimes considered a weapons specialist and ironhide was loyal and selfless while Doubledealer is selfish and treacherous. But I prefer the option of Alpha Trion still bringing Ironhide back like the comics. So now the once medic Ratchet is the arms dealing Doubledealer
-Sky Byte is the only Predacon of the bunch, who is at times thoughtful and poetic and at other times a clumsy oaf. Formerly Autobot Seaspray

Patiently waiting for an updated TF:A-inspired quadruple-changing Shockwave in the generations toyline
