Yeah they rotate in all modes its fun spinning the guns in robot or weapon mode to look like a rapid firing minigun rather hard to photograph tho

I like these, keep 'em comin'.

Makeshift is my favorite minicon, I have so got to get me one of those rotor guys. Great pics again!

I like the minicons, some of them, because they remind me of Gobots..sorta keep it up.

This latest one is actually pretty cool in its Ospreyish ways.

In the past few weeks I started to appreciate mini-cons more and more, esp. after getting Armada Megatron and loading him up w/ them. I'd even thought about selling my couple dozen mini's, but not anymore after seeing this thread! I heart mini-cons!

These unusual and rare repaints are great, please let's have more!

DAy 5 is upon us.
A longer gallery this time.
Every 5 days ill feature a special minicon team today is no exception.
For those who watched armada these 3 minicons were the introduction to minicons on the show being te first and most prominent team featured.
This set was released with a CD of the track: transformer - drem again, that was featued in the micron legend cartoon.
Although they look very similar to the american releas there are numerous paint differnces making this set the more show accurate.

1st up is Wheelie - yes that name was reused in the japanese seris at least and in context makes more sense than the american name, Highwire.

A rather spindley little chap - better in my opinion than the othe armada bike minicon, nightbeat.



Another reused name from transformers the movie next up is Arcee. Or Sureshock in the amercan dub

A rather awkward looking minicon in my opinion. Aparantly a female minicon - very difficult to discern that .


Finally Bank, or grindor in the west.


Nice proportions and sculpt on this one - better than the othe two inrobot mode definatly.



NOw for the Main event!

Combine these 3 minicons and the mini-gesalt BUMBLES is formed. (or perceptor whatever)

This little guy rocks. is just smaller than a scout class figure but the extreme sports aesthitic from its components come together briliantly
love the head sculpt with the helmet and goggles.

In retrospect i could have photographed the xdimension version but i actually much preffer this colourscheme and its still a variation on the american release (mainly the anime accurate faces)

I suppose I should pick them up.

It's hard to do though, owning the original US release.

The BEST version of this team, has to be the one included with Universe Sunstorm. They were really sinister looking.

Whats great about Perceptor is you can replace Highwire with some other minicons to get new heads. My main alternative was the blue jet in the Star Saber (Is that what it was called?) minicon set, can't remember it's name. Fold the tail down, the nose up, position it on Grindor's back facing downwards & the tail becomes a cool helmet style thing & you just need some imagination (or maybe some kitbashing skills) to make a nea head!

Grindor? I thought that was a new name I made up for my fanfics. Ah well, sweet gallery. That Highwaire looks sweet in bike mode. And that Perceptor looks sweet as well. Thanks.

Hmm, interesting. Though I couldn't really tell much of a difference between the two till I looked at the gallery.

Still, I think, based on pics(dont' have that Perceptor), that I prefer the regular release, cause I think visors are cooler than painted eyes.

Really nice colour on this team.

might be hard to see on the photos but like the new premium movie line these guys have added shineyness


Love the face on drill bit, very utilitarian robotic face with a hint of nostaglia to older more funciotnal robot designs of old sci-fi.
I think so anyway

All the destruction team minicons and their repaints have gear activated devices. Drillbits is quite obviously his drill
When rolled allong a flat surface the drill will spin
It can also be attachted to the underside of cyclonus from armade and then the rotor blade gimmick is used the drill will spin.(similar to blackout and scorpinoks combined mode from the movie line)

I hate Drillbit's Nemo arm.

That being said, interesting choice. I actually passed on that X-Dimension team last I saw them. Drillbit was too close to his original colors for my taste.
