I think you put the gun into the tail pointing the wrong direction, and then have him hold the gun by the barrel.

I believe you peg the gun in it's intended weapon storage slot, and put the gun barrel in his hand. It's a loose fit, but it works.

Edit: Right! Kev's got it. The gun IS upside down.

Alright, thanks. Does pegging the gun into the tail's connector hole also work, or are there clearance issues with that?

Titans Return Broadside's official jet mode is just weird. I've seen various fan configurations of the aft that get the fins pointing the right way and get the aft down neatly where it should be... So it's like the right stuff is all there in the design but whoever developed the instructions couldn't figure it out.

It should, I know I've attached the tail to other 5mm posts, I've just never tried it specifically with Skullsmasher's gun.

The instructions are technically "right" because in the goofy looking jet mode, everything has a tab. I believe most of the fan modes have the legs loose and straight, but there is nothing for them to tab into. So they really only work if your figure has nice tight joints.

I personally only use him in carrier mode and ignore the jet mode completely. 1) I love aircraft carriers and 2), we've easily had 40-50 planes between CW, UW and TM/LEgends, and what, 6 sea vehicles, with 2 of those really being upside-down guns instead of submarines?

Sea vehicles in general are pretty obscure in Transformers. There's Broadside, Seaspray, Tidal Wave, Quickswitch and then a handful of pretenders, minicons and Micromasters. So yeah, thankfully the good altmode of Broadside is the unique part of him.

Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll retool him one day to have the tabs where they need to be for the proper plane mode... I know what you mean about aquatics being thin on the ground (they always have been), though.
Speaking of his carrier mode, someone should take a pic of that falling on Devastator. The G1 Devastator toy would probably work better for what I'm thinking of giving how big Broadside was in that shot.

Regarding Skullsmasher, I asked about using the beast mode connector hole on the tail instead of the weapon storage hole because that would get the weapon not only vertical but above the hands like on the G1 toy.

Edit: Kurona, Thunderblast is probably going to shoot you with her rocket launcher that doubles as an even bigger rocket launcher for forgetting about her. Petty, but that's Decepticons for you. You also overlooked Energon Mirage and Sharkticon, Shortround, ROTF Depthcharge, Nautica...

I lost Nightbeat. Ended up just buying a replacement. I have no idea where he ended up. I assume he's still somewhere in my cubicle. Hell, I lost Generations Chromia's gun for over a year and then one day I got back from lunch and someone had set it on my chair. Still don't know who it was or where they found it.

Sorry for reminding you of that infamous shot then. Regarding Titan Masters, I make sure mine are attached to someone somehow to keep them safe Sitting in someone's weapon (Brawn and Ptero live in PMOP's turret guns), or there vehicle's weapon mode if possible, stuff like that. Because I worry about losing them

My 2 year old made off with Diac. The only thing that keeps from flipping out is the notion, at least it's inside the house somewhere.

Oh you should have seen....the *you know what* storm that happened a few months back when my son could not find a couple of his Titan master heads.... He is usually really good about putting them all back. Its my one rule -Play with the toys all you want, but put them back when you are done- He had been playing with a couple friends, and you know how that goes....

we tore his room apart, but ended up finding the couple we lost. Now though he is pretty good about making sure they all get put back when he is done...

My son is 4 and most of the time doesn't seem to mind if he loses part of a toy. My mom just got him a really cool Chopper figure from Star Wars Rebels. He lost the radar dish off of chopper's head at my parents' house. We couldn't find it. He hasn't mentioned it. It is driving me nuts though! Ugh, the figure is incomplete!! Grraaaahhh!

Turns out Clobber was, in fact, inside Wolfwire's cockpit. Which makes more sense than it sounds -- I prefer his head on Wolfwire over Monzo. Monxo?

Well yeah that's what I meant...my son is 11, he came to me explaining his issue of lost toys. He wasn't concerned for himself, he was concerned with what would happen if he didn't find them (my anger basically)...I know it sounds bad, but I'm really not a rage monster dad, I just want him to keep his toys nice, a lesson I did not learn until much later, because if any pieces are lost/broken due to negligence, he knows I will not replace them.

Sure when he was much smaller (3,4,5 etc...) he had happy-meal toy transformers, or smaller toys from RotF or TFA that I really didn't care about if he lost or broke them. But since we've been collecting CW & TR, I especially want him to be careful with those, and he has done well.

I tell him the story of how as a young adult I had to replace the green door on my original Fortress Maximus, and Repurchase Cerebros Gun...to get him back to 100% completeness and functionality.

Despite the sculpt looking otherwise, Pounce is supposed to be a cat, specifically a puma. I guess that means Quickswitch's wolf mode can also be a cat still.

I don't know why people are so down on Pounce, I think he's a fantastic figure, one of the best cats we've gotten in Basic/Scout/Legends scale. I just wish they had done one more color mold to give him proper purple legs and tail and left his butt flap unpainted with his back. Otherwise I think he's great. We'll see what Takara Tomy does.

I lost sight of Loudmouth once. Turned out he was just hiding, the little scamp. I usually keep good track of the little guys by placing them near their vehicles.

Perhaps get him a tackle box to stash small parts and weapons in when he is not playing with a toy? I find this prevents the loss of many a small gun.

So many cool Titans Return! I really want the leader class Soundwave....go figure both stores in my area are out of them now. Is it bad if I first thought I was gyped out of my first Titan Master? I didn't realize it was Hot Rod's head. Lmao.

Nice! How well do those guns work, Bradimus? They certainly look good. They don't fix the stupid way Chromedome was done (Argh that canopy design... Why...) but still. I've been thinking of getting me a set of those once I have Chromedome. I actually enjoy the seat gimmick of TR guns, but having guns that look like the originals (especially when they were in pairs like that) is still nice.

I wish the company doing these guns would also do Hot Rod's Photon Lasers and Kup's Musket Laser. Especially the Musket Laser since A. TR Hot Rod's stock guns at least have some resemblance to one of his original Photon Lasers and B. POTP Rodimus is going to come with G1-based Photon Lasers anyway so...

I actually did that a while back! With CW Devastator instead of G1 though, so of course hilarious scale issues abound even more so than in the original scene (somehow...). To paraphrase my old post since there's no way I'd be able to find it now:

So far I haven't lost anyone, probably because every single TM stays either attached to someone's shoulders or clipped into some form of vehicle, and then my entire TR collection also lives in a single bag when they're not out being played with. The literal one time I actually kept a TM (Apeface) outside a larger form of storage, he disappeared for a good day or two... turns out he was standing on the desk exactly where I'd left him, but I'd plonked CW Leader Megs in front of him since then and I couldn't see the little guy behind. I think that says more about me than it does the toys, though
