I am envious

It wasn't cheap. I had to split the cost between cash and PayPal in order to afford it. And went over my spending budget in the process, too.

But seeing there in person alongside Optimus, I figured it was either now or never.

I know the feeling, glad you got to secure it though, that is such an awesome grab

I saw the price on eBay... around 1000$!

Mine was $300. Originally $400, but the seller lowered the price on the second day when I bought it. I split the cost between $140 in cash and $160 via PayPal.

By comparison, the Laser Optimus came from the same seller, and was $150.

Damn good price, again: envious

150$ for Lazer Optimus wasn't a great price, but 300$ was for Magnus. Especially compared to the eBay price!

Too late. I opened him days ago, and it's in perfect condition.

What broke apart on yours that I should look out for? I knew Soundwave was a GPS victim but have heard nothing about Razor Claw breaking.

I didn't have much luck at Target this morning, but I did get a great deal nonetheless. Picked up a ROTB Beast Combiners Optimus Prime & Lionblade plus a TMNT reissue Mutatin' Don for a grand total of $14.78 thanks to over $22 in discounts. Target broke the price down to $11.94 for Prime and $12.76 for Don minus $10 in Target Circle earnings. Great deal! Prime's price really got hacked down thanks to 25% of a single toy, 15% off Transformers (it doesn't show up on the receipt because the discounts are based on the sale price of $18.69) and its portion of that $5 off toys.

And yeah, it does feel like a waste using all that on a small purchase, but the store really had nothing else I wanted and they really haven't had much on the online store in a long time. Remember when Target.com would update with all of the new listings when Hasbro had a reveal event (and if you were lucky they didn't cancel your whole order)? It's been a while, this is probably why they stopped.

First transformers I picked up in more than a year! Found them at my local Dollarama for $4 CAD each!

Didn't think I would be as impressed with Ravage as I am but he's good!

Gotta love when former "rare" and highly sought after toys become "outdated" by more recent releases.

I prepared my sniper rifle to snipe on a eBay listing, only to be THE ONLY BIDDER.

So I won the exclusives Earthrise Ratchet and Ironhide. All and all, with shipping and taxes, both were the price of a regular voyager without taxes. Meaning around 47$CAN each. A very good price all things considered.

Once I transformed them, I can confirm that the SS86 version are far, far superior.
Regardless, these shall remain "pure", without Repros nor upgrades.

That mold is not that bad. I think it's mainly frowned upon due to better alternatives being available. And the feet in van mode. If I did own these, which I don't, I would display them without the roof accessories. Good job getting them cheap.

My main complaint is they didn't bother to modify the feet for the van mode. But other than that, they ain't bad. I'm glad I wasn't one of those sucker who paid 100$/200$ EACH.

Nope. SG Ratchet still sell for the price of a leader class toy, while the full SG Ratchet and Optimus set sell for 200$+. That's when looking at SOLD listings on eBay.

It's incredible how the price of that 2 pack suddenly shot up.

My guess is the only way for Selects SG Ratchet to drop in price is for a SS86 Ratchet redeco to pop in the Hasbro Pulse exclusive SG line.

Checked out my local Walmart for the first time in weeks and to my surprise I found Maverick!

I went to the Geek store with my friend.

My friend, who didn't liked beastformers before watching Beast Wars bought K. Rhinox, S. Transmutate, L. Inferno (ant) and the Velocitron Galaxy Shuttle, who was new and at it's normal leader price.

On my end, I bought the Universe and Legacy Beachcomber, plus I traded-in my complete but way too used for comfort G1 Soundwave for the first Walmart reissue. Soundwave must stand tall and proud, not lean over in defeat.

Before all that, I got SS Nightbird from GameStop and I caved-in for the dead Ironhide and Prowl 2 pack at TrU.
