Does "being old" some how make a figure "bad" enough that it needs to be replaced?Emerje wrote:Amelie wrote:WreckerJack wrote:I still want Pharma and Drift dangit!)
Is Generations Drift not good enough?
That figure is already eight years old and we never got another one in Generations which is really crazy.
Shadowman wrote:This is Sabrblade we're talking about. His ability to store trivial information about TV shows is downright superhuman.
Caelus wrote:My wife pointed out something interesting about the prehistoric Predacons. I said that everyone was complaining because transforming for them mostly consisted of them just standing up-right. She essentially said, 'So? That's what our ancestors did.'

Why not instead desire a reissue of the previous figure instead of a new one, like how both Cosmos and Skrapnel got reissued?

Because a Cybertron mode Drift would be really nice. And a Deadlock of course.

I saw someone who digibashed Drift and Deadlock using the P/CP figure. It looked pretty cool, but considering the "No gimmicks unless they were in the original toy" rule of the line I doubt we'd get something like that unfortunately

Whoa, hold on, where did you get that rule from?

(And how many ppl have been asking for comic character figures - I still want Pharma and Drift dangit!)
Why I do think it'll be awesome for this line to go he whole hog and introduce Unicron with his own faction (you know the drill, Titan Unicron with a Leader class main underling/herald and a couple of voyagers and a few deluxes and a weaponizer or two) it's just I can't see him being teased till the second line at least. Anything to do with the end of the comics is purely coincidence as when this line is full swing, idw continuity as it currently is will already be cold in the ground.
Reboot continuity on the other hand...
Skritz wrote:Unicron-as-faction has long been a thing which has floated around in Transformers lore and series without ever becoming a concrete thing: even going back as far as flat out Unicron's first appearance in The Movie where he's not really aligned with the 'cons and rather is using them (or at least Galvatron's gang) to enact his plan to destroy everyone. We've had plenty of vaguely (or not so vaguely) Unicronian agents as a mysterious third faction in TV shows and comics but generally speaking for toyline and classification purposes they were listed as Decepticons.
The idea of introducing a third faction to Transformers and having the toyline reflect this would be a huge thing for Hasbro and the only time I recall it being a thing was Beast Hunters, unless you count Beast Wars and Beast Machine but these still played by the rules of one good faction vs one evil faction. Presumably a Unicron faction would have it's own symbol. Part of me think this is not something Hasbro would be willing to just casually introduce.

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

Anyone know if that's true? And if so, what the hell is the point of using the cool, but obviously very flawed, Moonracer mold 2 more times?
Cobotron wrote:Pretty sure, like 99.99% sure that Firestar is a straight repaint of Moon racer with a new head.
Chromia on the other hand was confirmed at SDCC to be neutered of her peg.

Firestar should be in tact as she is the last release of PotP. But we had a long discussion here. It was disappointing, but knowledge since the reveal; at SDCC, that Chromia would not be a combiner. (pics analyzed form many angles). Many fans, including myself, are disappointed. Why was the combiner mechanism removed? Probably to fit with the "lack of gimmick" for the Siege line. (Never mind that every line since T30 has had some bleed over from the previous...). It doesn't make sense to most of us, but it is what it is. Hopefully either through, or perhaps in a future generations line, or even as exclusives, combiners will at some point return.
My workplace just out through orders for our first shipments of War For Cybertron: Siege figures. Included in the Leader Class assortment was a listing for Leader Class Shockwave. I didn't see this info myself so I can not confirm it, but the biggest Shockwave fan in the store did the ordering, so he knows what he's talking about. So for now, I will say this is a rumour.
The store I work for is an independently owned collectibles store, but the cases we order are the same as regular big box retailers. The listings were all by name, and mostly what we've seen already, except for a few (Voyager Class "M", presumably Megatron, Deluxe "S", possibly Starscream, Leader Class "G", maybe a Galvatron?) but Shockwave was identified by name in the Leader Class assortment

Though still a tad disappointed that it looks like it will be Shockwave and not Tidal Wave
