I am pretty certain that the user was referring to the deluxe Starscream from unite warriors. Hasbro never released that deluxe Starscream.

In Prime Wars they never have, and in the Generations lines before, only Armada and FoC. UW Starscream... what could Hasbro have done to do the mold and the character justice?

with Hasbro being very adamant about the line having the characters in scale with one another, I am now doubting that leader shockwave listing. It might be for another line, I don't know, but for that' character to be in scale with the others he would not be taller than a voyager

Who would be a good candidate for another leader class figure in Siege? A retool of Ultra Magnus to make "Powered Optimus Prime?" A new Jetfire?

So, wait. Tidal Wave would be leader sized to contradict Ultra Magnus, fine. But having Megatron voyager-sized to match Prime? That would be fine but I'd find that hard to believe Hasbro would do such a thing...

Yeah I meant to put "combiner wars" after deluxe and before starscream...I knew hasbro have done deluxe screamers as I've had a few. My question has been answered though so thank you
As for Shockwave, what if it's a voyager sized Shockwave sold at the leader price point because he's also coming with some extra stuff?
Though I would love to see a tidal wave that had a more general release than the last incarnation in tr. Thinking about it, the decepticons never had that many big hitters like that did they (well outside of combiners anyway)

the Implication is that Ultra Magnus is indicitve of tge Leader Gimmick as a whole: smaller bots in armor. which would make sense in the line of small robots beciming guns and shields and such. So I doubt, if that is the case, that we are getting a Leaser Shockwave .
now, I could totally see Tidal Wave as a Leader, with an Armor Gimmick for Megatron. I would also not be surprised if we got Star Saber out of the Gimmick. not sure what other Cons could "Power Up"

I'd be totally in for a Tidalwave that could combine with Megatron. Especially if the end result is way superior to the poorly executed Armada original.
So, what other

But the kicker is that Starscream is the pretool for.... STARSABER!

So, how awesome would that be?

We don't know yet if Ultra Magnus is indicative of a size class-wide gimmick or if he's just a one-off figure and oddball design idea Hasbro had laying around. That said if we get armor, please please Star Saber and/or Thunderwing.

There was both a Voyager and Leader Megatron in the Amazon leak so make of that what you will.

That's kind of weird, unless they're making two vastly different versions like Titans Return did with Powermaster Prime and the Octane pretool. Unless one of them is Beast Wars Megatron but HAH! As if! I'll eat my own underwear if we ever get anything Beast Wars-related in the next ten years.

Yeah I was referring to getting Skywarp and Thundercracker out of the Ghost Starscream mold, but I was saying they could have been released as limbs for Voyager PotP Screamer, to go with Dreadwind and Darkwing. So we could have had a seeker combiner, even if the latter 2 weren't really seekers and had their own (also poorly executed) combiner gimmick.
And why wasn't a deluxe CW Starscream ever released? It would have sold well. It didn't have to be the Ghost Starscream version, because I get that that's an exclusive to go with Grand Galvatron, but still. I thought a deluxe Starscream is a slam dunk in any line.

There is the possibility that one of those listings is for a WFC Megatron, and one is for a Cyberverse figure at the same price point as a standard line figure.

If they made a new BW Megatron, especially based off his first Transmetal form, I would buy it in an instant, same with Depthcharge and basically all the other main cast Predacons, but of course Warden won't do that. I would love to be wrong, but...

With the focus on characters scaling right, maybe we should be glad they aren't doing any beast wars characters this line, otherwise they would all be battle master or micro master size.

Not even close. The info is out there, we posted it, Hasbro was very clear in saying that there is no line wide gimmick this time around and that only toys which would have gimmicks would be those who had them initially, with Magnus as an example.
They listened to fans and are really going 100% full on G1 this time giving you the characters as they should be, with the only twists coming in alt mode designs to fit with the "last day on Cybertron" theme.
So for other leader options, the only ones I could think of that would work with this scale are Jetfire and Deathsaurus (aside from of course Sixshot, Overlord and others we already got).
Tidal wave wouldnt make sense since he isnt G1 and leader would be too small in a line where he would be made to scale with a voyager Prime.

I'm going by the Video where Warden says " Ultra Magnus really captures what we wanted to do with the Leader Class in this line." or something. I dont remember if it was a the Panel or the floor after that. Maybe he meabt it in a more General statement and not an outright gimmicky.
and as to Tidal Wave, remember he had no more right to be in Titans Return, since he waant a Headmaster and turns into armor and dont forget that while that is 100% G1 Ultra Magnus in Bot Mode. they were clearly going after Car Robots with that alt mode, right down to the Cow Catcher of Doom. So to dismiss someone like Tidal Wave out of turn just because he isn't G1 isnt entirely fair.
Warden also said in the Panel they were going to be mote aware of the other incarnations. maybe he just meant including other aspects of itherwise G1 Characters but again, RID Mags.
You do make a good point about Scale. It would mean Tidal wave taking the Titan position this year (if we even still have a Titan) and I dont see that. Although in Energon he wasn’t much more than twice Demolisher’s size. And if they do go with the Boxing Gloves and Backpack for a Megatron, a Titan would be too big for ether Voyager or Leader scale.
ultimately, with only 4-6 slots in the Waves there's a lot of competition for those spots.

"PLEASE-D" WTF ??? YOUR JOKING RIGHT?
There's really NOTHING HERE! A Sht LAZY CHROMIA Repaint of PotP MOON RACER. An IRONHIDE That Looks Great from a SKY-CAM VP.. Look closer-- He HAS NO PELVIS! Where's his waist? An why such A drab coloring job. Now MAGNUS Looks decent but his LAZY CW Analogue has A better aesthetic. At least IMO anyway (No waist swivel/ No Ratchets on A $50 Leader class bot aside of course).
WHERE'S THE CONS

Pure LAZINESS on Hasbro's part! Why not A SHOCKWAVE Voyager ?? Or even A SKY WARP Redeco of PotP STAR SCREAM. Since their being LAZY- that sounds like A No Brainer.
Or why not give us A simple "Lost Light" CON-styled repaint Voyager of HOT ROD from his inner PotP Rodimus Prime's Leader class figure ? ? ?
- Hello @Hasbro
Just one to many WTF/ "No Brainers"!
This was an embarrassing Showcase for HASBRO especially for any SDCC By comparing it to any other. No Exclusives like A Starscream F-15 GI.Joe Striker w/ Cobra Commander, No Devastator, No Titan (Fort Max-ish thing) to write home about. How stupid is HASBRO!? People go to SDCC For TITANS (Not that DC Sht), CC Exclusives. NEITHER OF WHICH YOU CAN BUY AT STORES! Not everybody likes MAIL ORDER/ DELIVERY.. And waiting to see if TAKARA's is going to be better. I Want to go buy something !!! Not wait at Home for my on-line delivery evey phucking time.
And HOW DO THESE STUPID 1980's LOOKING MICRO BOTS PRESENT "MORE PLAYABILITY" Than Head-Masters & PotP from last year ??
LIKE SOME OF YOU ARE SAYING. Anyone ??
I know TRYPTICON Lacked Playability by comparison to his former & of course FORT MAXIMUS, which was far superior. But Last Years PotP show was waaay better by comparison anyway. From Variety, to inventiveness, to Just pure Colorfulness, to "PLAYABILITY".
In conclusion, [If] this was the Year I decided to go to SDCC Man would I of been Pist! Only good thing was "End of The continuity" special IDW "UNICRON" #1 comic (that features Both the FCBD. #0 & New #1 // im assuming). Which matters Not cause '5 Fold Understanding' YT CHANNEL Has both of the comics up anyways ((I know the UNICRON #0 Is Up & He said #1 is coming)). Anyhow with ALL THAT BEING SAID--
Im happy I didn't go. Cause HASBRO embarrassed themselves this year.
