Me and my friend were sitting around talking transformers figures and he asked what do you consider to be the biggest screw ups in transformers history, to be honest I couldn't think of anything that I really fell in that category. I thought here is a really chance to see what the boards felt were the biggest screw ups in the history of transformers.

From what i've heard MP Megatron isn't all that great.. i mean he does look great but his transformation and that whole rust issue just takes away from the figure, plus i heard alot of people broke him while trying to transform him.

ohh and the entire armada line just because they have almost zero articulation and considering that fact that they're not over 20 years old i think hasbro/takara could have made them better.

I think the fact that fans have been wanting complete Seeker sets since G1 and Hasbro scraped Titanium Skywarp & Classic Thundercracker from retail release so that's two series where the Squadron cannot be completed.

My personal gripe is that the Duocons have almost no articulation whatsoever - hell, Battletrap doesn't even have arms!!

I saw that episode on youtube recently. I wanted to scream, but sadly my screams don't have the power to destroy anything- let alone that episode. Such an annoying episode |:[

In terms of figures, I think Action Masters were a pretty crummy idea. Granted it was the first time we'd see show-accurate versions of some characters (like bumblebee) but I prefer Transformers that are transformable themselves, instead of transformable accesories that were ridiculous looking.

I'd have to say Action Masters. If they were a side line like the Mega SCF's or Revoltech, that'd be one thing. But releasing the entire line as transformers that don't transform? Pheh.

I'm going with Actionmasters too. Sure, they were show accurate, but so what? Yes, if they were a separate line like the SCFs that would have been better. But they were basically the Transformer version of G I Joes, where the figures were essentially reliant on vehicles or accessories to be any good, and the accessories were just lame. Not bad mouthing Joes, btw.

MP megs for what he is a very clever BUT hes not quite er, user friendly, hes not much fun but if posed carefully with a couple of tweaks he can look very cool. I feel a much nicer toy could have been made had they beefed up the gun somewhat, ie made a few compromises on the guns realism but that allowed less compromises on the robot mode. still its a clever piece of design.

Easy.

Animated.

Animated so far has been from what I can tell a general failure, like it or not. First, the show sucks bad, one of the worst television programs I have ever seen. Its getting moved to six in the morning on a Monday which screams ratings drop to me. Then the toys, they look like they’ll be decent but they’re coming out seven months after the show first started airing? That’s more than half a year!

To me it feels like “Hey guys, have you seen that Ben Ten? Kids love that crap! Which gives me the idea… Transformers + style of popular kids show + ??? = big success!”

I think animated is easily the worst transformers related thing ever. With the combination of some backwards marketing and a horrible concept, I get the feeling we’ll be seeing some dusty cards out there…

I wouldn't say there have been any true **** ups in tf history. Just radical changes. Which have kept it going for 28 years (ish?)

Guess people have forgot one of the most horrible screw up in transformers toy history Beast Machine: Supreme Cheetor, which sucked on level which can't even be imagined by most people this thing sat on store shelves mocking the sales people and clerks at your local toy store untill the beast machine series ended then went to bargin bin were it still didn't sell.

Besides the occasional long chinned beast I really don’t think Transformers have changed that much, maybe aside from they’re articulation and such.

Beast Machine Megatron...............

How in the hell they took a beautiful Dragon megatron from Beast Wars and turn him 2 10 dollars worth of crap is beyond me

O and i think the whole line sux anyway. The only 5 figures i can stomach and brougght was Jetstrom, Stromjet, the basic sized motorcycle and Mirage, and ???Obsedian??? the lil helicopter

The only maximal i brought was the deluxe Prime and i gave that away a month lata

Y Cartoon Network love to throw the transformers series into the 6am slots?????

That how i lost track of Energron and Cybertron when they did that.
And i still havent seen most of the eps from Energron :sad:
