Maybe he doesn't like the movie aesthetic. I don't. Its messy, and everything is too thin. The idea the movie designs have of having unseen parts of the alt-mode as part of the robot mode is totally the wrong way round as far as I'm concerned.
Its a robot that turns into a car as a disguise not a car that turns into a robot.
Theres a huge difference between the two.
I am by no means a G1 fanatic - I've had figures from all generations in my collection, other than the Movieverse. Nothing about them appeals to me.
