I went to the movie yesterday at 10:35. It was not crowded then; when I came out, there was a line for the next showing which was at 2:00.

The 1st time I saw it was on Monday at the 8:00 showing. Lots of people were wearing Transformer t-shirts and there was cheering and laughing during most of the film. At the end it got a standing ovation. My wife was shocked at all the noise in the theater. I thought it was great.

I then saw a morning show on the 4th with my kids and it was your typical movie going crowd. No one clapped, screamed or whistled. I was actually able to hear some of the lines that I had missed the time before.

I live just north of Houston in The Woodlands. The Monday night show was close to capacity, mostly adults. That being said you would think they were all children, it was that rowdy. I loved every minute, people clapping and cheering was great. People who have kinda gotten on me in the past for being interested in a "Kiddie Show" all of the sudden are asking me questions about it. Sweet Sweet Vindication :APPLAUSE:

The theater I went to only showed it on one screen, and that was nearly packed, something I certainly wasn't expecting. There were a few people I knew there, but I didn't sit with them. I got a seat near the upper left hand corner, but when I went to get some Nibs, someone stole it. Thankfully, there was a seat in the upper center which I took.

Anyways, the crowd more or less reacted the way I thought they would, even at the parts I thought they wouldn't (especially when Bumblebee "lubricates" Simmons, which I certainly didn't think was going to get a laugh.)

And at the end of the film, something that really surprsied me happened: the whole theater broke out in applause. They didn't do that at the first screening of Revenge of the Sith I went to.

In wonderful rural NC, at our big theater at our one mall, I went to see TF movie at the 10:00AM showing on the 4th (it was the earliest, and we (my hubby and I) were hoping to beat the crowd).

The theater was at near capacity (a few seats remaining in the section closest to the screen, if anyone would have actually sat in those seats and watched the movie, they would have likely had an epileptic seizure). The theater holds at least 400 people (big for our neck of the woods).

There was a diverse group. Young kids with parents, some obvious fanboys, male and female pairs (husband/wife, BF/GF), a rather large group of young girls (for all you who think this movie is just for guys, apparently Shia is mighty honcho), a good number of elder adults with no younger kids (one older lady was very excited to see OP and cheered). I would estimate a 55:45 male:female ratio.

3 additional theaters were showing the movie at times that began shortly after my showing ended. There were long, long lines of people waiting to get in.

The movie was a big hit audience wise.

I saw it three times, the first time being Monday night at the Digital 12:01 showing at the Cinemark on Valley View Road just outside of Cleveland in Ohio.

Monday night's reaction from the crowd was all applause, laughter, many sounds of awe and admiration. Most of the audience seemed to comprise of young adults, though there were many parents and young teens present. I didn't see a whole lot of kids, though there were some.

The crowd was VERY active, it was a fun group. The theater staff got everyone hyped by giving away posters and doing trivia, also some of hte audience was shown around backstage (my friends and I included) to see the behind the scenes action of the projection rooms and such.

Blackouts attack on the base was met with applause during his transformation, and lots of reaction on the shockwave he sends out. Lots of individiual scattered reaction during the panning back shot of him lobbing missiles and explosions.

Laughter during much of Shia's Sam Witwicky comedy moments. Laughter for Bernie Mac's Uncle Bobby B character. Especially Bumblebee's radio songs which kept playing for the interaction with Fox's Mikaela character.

Laughter during Frenzy's hack of Air Force One. Also his exit onto the Tarmac and into Barricade.

Gasps of awe during Barricade's initial transformation. Huge reaction noted during Barricade's dive-bomb transformation when he begins to chase Bumblebee in car form.

General all around applause during Bumblebee's first fully shown transformation before he battles Barricade.

Lots of "awww sh*t" when the meterorites fall and begin transforming. Lots more awe and anticipating noises when the Autobots begin to pick out vehicles. Murmurs of excitement when the semi truck is scanned by Prime.

All out applause when Prime pulls up to Shia and Fox's characters and transforms, continues as the other Autobots transform.

Laughter during the scene with the Autobots @ the Witwicky's home.

More laughter for the Kangaroo Jack / Me, Myself & Irene hacker fat guy.

More laughter for Sector 7 in general.

Applause for "freedom is the right of all sentient beings" speech.

Reactions of awe for Megatron's revelation.

Laughter for Sam /Simmons interaction in NBE-1 chamber.

Noted applause and cheers during YF-22 Raptor Starscream brief scene and more awe inspired sounds during Bonecrusher and Devastator revelations.

Awe for Megatron's melting point.

Cheers for Prime and Jazz's powerslide to join the military convoy escorting Bumblebee/Sam/Mikaela and the Cube. Shouts of "Now you're rollin' deep".

Cheers for Bonecrusher's rolling transformation and the tackle into Prime. More cheers for Prime's sword and screams of OWNED!!!! when Bonecrusher's head hit the ground.

General all out ruckus for the entire city fighting sequence, notably more when Ironhide does the cannon flips and Megatron rips Jazz in half.

More all out craziness during and after Starscream's guerilla techniques such as his dispatching of Rachet and Ironhide in fast succession then taking off, and his high flying maneuvers against the fleet of YF-22 Raptors.

Cheers and applause during "One shall stand and one shall fall" and ensuing fight between Prime and Megatron.

All out cheers and applause upon completion of Prime's speech and the roll of credits.

Laughter @ the Witwicky interview, notably when Mrs Witwicky tells the interviewer his head is bigger than on television.

Cheers and excitement @ seeing Starscream exiting our atmosphere and into space.

It was by far the best theater experience I have had, including all the major midnight releases I have been to (LOTR, Matrix, and SW included).

Honestly?

A couple of people clapping at the end, not very much applause, just people leaving when they started dumbing the Decepticon bodies in the ocean.
