Hurray for the enthusiasm, but it might be better put elsewhere... You have to understand Rage, posting like this is fine and dandy, when you're dealing with kids and the like. It doesn't mean anything to those of us who have played, off and on, for, what 6 years?

Given that you've only just returned to the forums yourself, I highly recommend you have a read around and educate yourself on Rage's behaviour before popping him up on the victim stool.

a. An assembly of persons called together for consultation, deliberation, or discussion.
b. A body of people elected or appointed to serve as administrators, legislators, or advisors.

just seems odd when no one votes in your sub faction, to be called a council. very Botish.

Wait wait wait, let me get this strait: The RDD, the main Decepticon clan in the game, votes in it's leaders and holds elections on various clan issues while the AWC, the premier Autobot clan, is a dictatorship? Shattered Glass lives.

correction the "Old" AWC was that way. I have different views on how the AWC should be ran. anyone who was in the ASF knows what I am talking about.

I tried the voting thing. Guess what, hardly anyone voted. No one seemed cared enough to have a substantial vote, even though I gave each vote plenty of time to complete. I was never this dictator-type figure that you are painting. For your information, yes there was still a council in the AWC. I had to do what I though was best for the AWC at the time.

I'm sorry your time in the AWC was soured by a few members, but get your facts straight before you go throwing things around. OP007 is taking the AWC in a different direction than I did and that is fine. I'm not interfering in his leadership of the group. I'm only there for advice as needed.

**EDIT** On second thought, I'm going to step away from the AWC entirely. It will be better for them if I wasn't there and I can go in a new direction. That way no one thinks that I am trying to overshadow them and pull strings behind the scenes. Typically in the past, when one thought of the AWC, they thought of me as well. I'm not trying to toot my own horn, its just the way it was. With me leaving, it gives them the best start the AWC can get right now. It also gives me a chance to start off fresh again in HMW.

I don't know about Alpha Strike covering his own ass, I was there when Centbot, Armourhide and the others started the AWC, it's funny how no one ever mentions them...

As far as the voting thing in AWC, that was either when I was away(most probably), or my memory is having an epic fail(also possible...). The problem with the AWC, as EP has already stated, was that no one was participating. When I was a squad leader, I had 8 bots 'assigned' to my squad, and only 1 or 2 posted anything... The real problem was there was no recognition, nor reprocussions, so there was no point...

Just putting my thoughts out, I have a few more, but those will be for another time...

Centbot shot himself in the foot with his much promised "HMW Fanfic".

Armorhide shot himself in the foot when he decided to ... well actually no, i'm not going to bring that up again. Suffice to say his removal from this site was VERY justified.

For both of you that didn't know, Im in the RDD and Ive never hidden it. Im also one of its commanders and was the admin for about 2 years and its a great place to hang out, but as Ed said above, whilst it started here and its roots will always be in HMW and transformers its moved beyond a single game (Grah!) and is now pretty much a social hub for evil sci-fi/computer game nerds. fact is that those in the RDD who play HMW do it here in public, or with the rest of the cons in Darkmount where (just like Iacon) there are no rules to get in the way of the fun.

The AWC have the same opportunity to make something of themseves and I for one would love to see it, especially if they can tame the ragebot...

I agree with Psychout. I'd like to see the AWC return in some fashion and have a continued presence here, but I think it's more important for us to get the carbon rod out of our exhaust ports and have some fun. For as long as I care to remember, both the AWC and the Autobot faction as a whole have been focused on "getting our act together", "creating better communication among 'Bots", "establishing ourselves as the dominant force in the game." All fine goals, to be sure, but it kinda takes away from just playing the game, having some fun and some friendly competition with the 'Cons. I'm doing my best to maintain some kind of Autobot presence here other than the three or four others who post here with the numerous Decepticon players.

When I joined the AWC, I did so because I thought it'd be a fun group who enjoyed the game and could help me with my game, and it was for a while. Then one thing led to another, and before I knew it we were all about rebuliding ourselves and trying to re-establish our presence. Frankly, I'm tired of all the rebuilding and restructuring and all the needless melodrama. I want to play the game, get some skins on the wall, maybe even establish a rivalry or two with other players and have some shits and giggles. But that's never going to happen unless we start having some kind of fun around here and quit having our serious face on all the time.

Im my experience, all it ever takes is one noisy gobshite to say "hey guys, lets all try this...!!" and then suggest somehting both mental and fun and theres your team work right there. After one makes the leap, others will follow.
Doesn't need to be planned or organised, the stuff we used to do in darkmount never was.

Speaking of the RDD being the hub of evil sci fi and computer geeks... When are we going to take out the league of evil? We're all at least twice as evil as Dr. Horrible, if not Bad Horse.
