Read the first half of the sentence:
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

The plug goes into the shaft of the barrel, and covers only the opening. It won't hinder the connection of the silencer at all.

Unless the silencer fits into the barrel.

Took all of 20 seconds. (after I transformed Megs into gun mode)
Hold barrel, grab plug with pliers (not from top, but from side) and twist while pulling. Popped right out. Didn't even need to pry. There is some glue residue, but not noticeable.

3. In 2006, there was a bill in the Virginia legislature that would have made carrying concealed guns legal on college campuses. That bill was struck down in subcomitte. IF THAT BILL HAD PASSED...
4. Then the massacre would very likely NOT have happened - as was the case at Appalachian Law School in Virginia, where a potential massacre was stopped when students resisted and one guy got his gun from his car to help students resist.
Let us know how it goes!Roboto750 wrote:dabattousai wrote:posted by BlinkJust got home and discovered that my Megs from BBTS arrived!
The toy is pretty awesome. BBTS (re)packaged the figure well considering it was modded (you can tell they opened the box from the bottom which had an extra piece of tape).
Alrighty, now for the big concern... The orange safety tip is glued and, at first, it seems pretty darn secure- but far from "permanent." It is pretty easy to remove, just takes some care. I took some needle-nose pliers and was able to loosen and pull the plug a little to make small gap between the end of the barrel and the plug. I then took a flathead screwdriver, slide it into the gap, and pried out the plug. Worked pretty well.
Not too risky, but it does take some force to get that plug out. If you're careful enough you won't damage the toy at all. There will be some glue residue in the barrel- I have not tried removing it since you cannot see it unless you shine light right into the barrel- but I would think its possible using a q-tip and some Goo Gone and/or maybe trying scraping it off if you really wanted no sign of the glue. As they stated on the BBTS site, the glue is only added at the bottom of the plug and seemed like a minimal amount.
If you plan on trying to remove the plug yourself, I just recommend transforming the figure into gun form first and, of course, just be really careful loosening the plug before prying it out. If the plug is too stubborn and seems like there was a lot of glue used, might be better to just drill as much of the plug out and/or do some touch-up paint.
Hope this helps!
You're my hero! I finally know the answer to one of life's burning questions!![]()
Doesn't sound all that bad. Think I'll be getting one soon. If nothing else, it sounds like a fun little project. I dub it, "Operation: Unplug Megatron."

sounds like more of a cap, than a plug, and either way it would detract from the toy by having the chamber blocked, not allowing it to shoot the pellets, or if its around the outside of the barrel, the silencer wouldnt fit. Its a lose lose situation, and all bbts is doing with this is ruining a group of a very desirable reissue, by adding a plug/cap. Congratulations bbts, you have limited the actual number of reissue megs, by ruining an entire batch of them.MagnusPrimal wrote:Does BBTS plug the reissue barrels as well?

I've got a set preordered as a precaution, but wouldn't they cap that one too?

I got it from bbts.com
I took pliers to the orange plug I held the barrel and then started to twist the plug slowly until I saw it moved.I then not only was twisting it but I lifted it out of the barrel
So the glue thats in the barrel isn't so strong
