Why is it all the sudden so taboo to propose the idea of an even more mature themed Beast Wars?
I can't believe that so much of the fandom is in agreement that Transformers is 'just a kid's show'. It's pathetic and truly a let down for me, somebody who has divulged so much energy to the franchise. Or maybe I'm just one of the few here who, instead of feeding an inner child, actually GREW UP watching the show and didn't stay prepubescent.
VestigialHeart wrote:It's not a matter of right or wrong. I'm disappointed in the responses that I've gotten. Responses like "For pete's sake it's a family show" and "Why do people not understand Transformers cartoons (Including Beast Wars) are for kids?" make me question how seriously people take the continuities. Responses like those from Counterpunch and Whiner-tron are malicious and unnecessary. If all you want is to bash then keep your words to yourself.
yeah know what VH... I only answered because I thought it was cool how you typed 'ravings of a madman' as I often say that myself.VestigialHeart wrote:I was watching an episode of Beast Wars a while back and thought to myself "how awesome would it be with gore in it?"
I mean the characters have skin, fur and feathers; they're exterior beast form shells contain some type of tissue. I always imagined the transformation process being a bit painful for the preds and maximals. I don't mean blood and guts flying everywhere, but rather a bit more painful of a transformation with the tissues tearing apart and refusing together. Think Wolverine when he uses his claws how the flesh rips apart and then heals back over when he sheathes his claws. I'm not sure if there's already been any fan pics of it, but i thought it would look awesome seeing Optimus Primal literally RIPPING out of beast mode into robot mode. It would be MUCH more vicious and a HELL of a lot more intimidating.
I understand that it would be too gory for kids, but as an adult i can't help but envision a more realistic, darker version of the continuity. I mean, it's war; war is never pretty nor is it child friendly.
What do you think? Cool idea or ravings of a madman?
Team Hate? What's that? Sounds cool.Counterpunch wrote:VestigialHeart wrote:Jesus Christ, did I post on the MPAA website by accident? You asked for opinions and got them.
Don't get all pissy because no one sided with your idea (Your bad idea).
Insults to the rest of us that are barely concealed aren't going to win you any supporters either. You aren't a part of Team Hate and at this point, I hardly think membership is even an option for you.

I'm a little disappointed about this thread becoming a bit darker after my post. Fans arguing with fans, and opposing opinions getting bashed is one thing; implied Comments about others stages in puberty and patheticness of the TF fan community, on a TF fansite, is not a way to get welcomed into the TF fan community. IMHO it is wrong to assume so.

The first rule of Team Hate is that you do not talk about Team Hate.
