Even if I threw my lot in with the 'jocks', I'll still be a nerd, because I like studying my courses, writing fanfiction, and Magic the Gathering cards.
Thankfully, growing up in Asian society, there's never been this kind of distinction or stigma, so I couldn't care less of what Westerners think of me. I do sports anyways so I'm not unfit.
Yea youre right that is a lil off topic, seems like more of a PM subject

I'm a Honky. I.e. I'm from Hong Kong.

Thanks to the good ol' dictionary:
Geek:
1: A carnival performer often billed as a wild man whose act
usually includes biting the head off a live chicken, bat or
snake

That makes Ozzy Osbourne officially a geek! Those of you familiar with him will know what I'm talking about.
Which brings me to another point - I'm a music geek. That's my other main hobby. I love all types of music - rock to rap to country to electronica to jazz. I've played guitar for over twenty years and I tend to annoy people with the seemingly random factoids that I can spew out on command about my favorite artists and songs.
So, my geekiness extends beyond my TF and GI Joe collections. That's just who I am. If I'm interested in something, I want to know as much about it as I can.
That's true of my professional life too, and it's allowed me to excel at every job I've ever held. So, if I'm a geek or nerd - that's fine b/c it pays the bills and allows me to feed my family, put a roof over their heads, and TFs in the toy box.

However, collecting Star Trek, Star Wars, Buffy or Dr Who stuff is nerdy as heck!![]()
What I find interesting is that if you collect Transformers, or any of the previous lines I mentioned then you are often considered a nerd, yet if you buy and display Wrestling toys you dont... go figure.
