Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

I agree with you.....but they wouldnt be the most effective fighters.
Most of the alternators are very top heavy and that would be an issue in a war.

Not sure who that was directed twards but I'm not sure if I agree about the G1's.

Many TFs in G1 didn't look like they transformed, or it wasn't apparently what they'd transform into. To be fair, most of them were season 3 characters, like Galvatron and Ultra Magnus.

I disagree.
I felt many of the G1 toys were very apparent in what they changed into, and I felt the season 3 figures [and afterwards] were the eazies to figure out.
Galvatron for on was very predictably a tf and I didnt even need the instruction sheat to change him.
Ultra Magnus, whos cab was the same as Optimus, was even eazier to identify as a TF because the white paint scheme made the seams stick out like a 20ft pimple. And the trailer looked nothing like a trailer.
If any tf's were hard to identify as TF's it would have to be the bulk of the diaclone line........basicly most of the cars and plains from season 1 and 2.
At least they looked like cars and plains with out un-identifiable parts.

ok umm just to point out that you've kinda contradicted yourself saying that megatron will be in the movie but he won't.
if it were to be galvatron, then hasbro would have released official packaging saying that it was galvatron, not megatron.
yes there appears to be evidence in the teaser trailer that it is megatron thats pinning sam down, but i wouldn't really run out and openly declare it yet that megs is indeed making a comeback... i would take it with a pinch of salt, but then again, thats just me

Ahh....then I can see what your talking about with some of the characters.

But some were very obvious. Cybertron Bumblebee (as in G1, before earth) still had VW Bug wheel arches for ankles despite being a hover car and the seekers also looked exactly the same in Robot mode as they do on Earth, despite changing into flying Pyramids on Cybertron.

Not to sound rude but.......if you had been following the conversation you would see that Bumblebee isint one of the characters he was refering too......Shadowman wrote:Many TFs in G1 didn't look like they transformed, or it wasn't apparently what they'd transform into. As you can see the characters he pointed to season 3 characters

As sic-fi creatures go it looks pretty cool. Its just not what you would expect from a Decepticon or TF's in general.

No they weren't. The first quote was you, the second quote was me from an earlier post. I didn't right anything new in that post, it was only quotes.

That just made him look worse. I thought that at least the movie version would be on fire. Yeah there's fire in the picture but it's not comeing from his body, it's the surrounding area. It's more than likely he caused the fire around him but still not the same as him actully being on fire himself.
I can't belive it, a character that's constantly in flames, something Bay should of loved to do, and he managed to screw that up too.

I agree in giving it a chance but the fact that artists and computer graphics guys claim to be fans means nothing to me.
The writters of the last film claimed to be big TF fans as well and we know how the characterizations turned out.
