I've never seen Animated, (can't stand the way they're drawn) G1 might be better than BW out of nostalgia only. And maybe toys. The BW show had better writing, better voicing, and better animation. Animated is basically the Beast Wars of today. It's almost on (if not directly on) par with Beast Wars in terms of writing, voicing, plot, characters, and storytelling. While on it's outward appearance, it may seem like a childish look, but underneath is a serious and fun story that at times would get light and comical, and at other times would get dark and critical.

The only that i was against when announced,was that it was right after the movie and and i wasnt very happy with ties-ins(Spider-man 2003 series).

I had similar doubts about TFA before I began watching it but as already stated, it is a a more complex story than its visuals imply at a glance.

G1 was a big toy commercial, no doubt. Check out Scramble City to see a commercial episode that I think was done with a bit of cleverness. The way that the concept of interchangeable combiner figures was woven into the fight seen between Superion and Menasor is something I think is clever for a late 80s cartoon.

Looks like I'll be taking a peek at Animated, then.

Then it is a pity the visuals can't match the story. Contrary to some, I factor in the animation quality when deciding to watch a show. I want my robots to look like robots. That's one reason why I'll gladly take Cybertron or Energon over Animated (or G1 for that matter).

The quality of the animation is fine, it's the art direction/style that people are put off by. The animation quality is actually consistent throughout all 3 seasons.

My first thought when seeing TFA was that it was pretty squashy/stretchy, which is something I'd prefer not to have in a Transformers cartoon. It's better for primarily humourous cartoons like Looney Tunes or Spongebob. However, while there is still the usual visual cheating for transformation sequences TFA, it's relatively minimal. The big cheater is Sentinel Prime because his visual design in robot mode is very organic. Ironically, I like his toy because it shows vehicle kibble in robot mode, making him look more like a "proper" Transformer.

I dare to hope that the writing of TFA would someday be combined with the art direction of artists like Don Figueroa or Guido Guidi to create a Transformers cartoon series.

I couldnt find any disc of beast wars,just beast machines so watch on Youtube.(if you feel like it)

I want to say that Beast Wars and Animated are the best Transformers series,but it is my opinion and i would be no better than GeeWunners.
