after the time needed to install (and my many complaints about having to sign in to an online service to play a game locally), only had about a half hour to play the game. Unfortunately, that doesn't do much for you. Made it to the Teleporter fiasco and received a crowbar.
And yet you're only a few minutes in.

Time is a harsh mistress.
Half-life 2
Had some more time to play but it's been one long chase scene since the teleporter accidental. Currently nearing the end of the Water Hazard "level"

Having just reached it, I'm viewing it with a fairly positive note too.
Half-life 2
See above.

Didn't accomplish too much sadly. went to go test out Moira's mole rat repellent but then got lost underground fighting raiders and ghouls. That took about an hour to find my way out.
The repellent didn't work, BTW.

Really? It worked like a charm for me. All the molerats went down in one or two whacks, which is a helluva lot less than if I shot them.

Half-life 2
from the cliffside passage, found my way to the sand trap area. Unlike before, I didn't have my trusty dune buggy to run over antlions so now I had to be more careful. Luckily there were plenty of corpses on hand to provide me with ammo. Reached a major nest and an Antlion guard which I put down. For my trouble, I was given a sample of bugbait and was sent on my way.
With the antlions now under my control, worked my way to Nova Prospekt. Laid waste to the prison but reached a dead-end in the garbage compactor thingy... ran out of time to play so will pick this up later.

Finished my trek through Nova Prospekt and met up with Alyx. We managed to reach a teleporter and save her father. Too bad Dr. Mossman turned out to be a traitor and said father got teleported to an as-yet-undisclosed location. Alyx and I took the first teleporter out and landed in Kleiner's lab. Oddly, a week had passed since we teleported out. Go figure. Now it's me and Dog against the World.
