Tail-end syndrome. Some people just flat-out never saw her, and a lot of those who did passed on her, either because they were exhausted with the line or waiting for juicier things like the Weirdwolf repack or the tail-end leaders to get stocked on the shelves. I fall into the latter category, and I regret it because thanks to the spot getting clogged by shelfwarming Mega Turbo Changer Dragonstorms the Targets in my area never shelved Sky Shadow or Overlord.
But anyway, that meant that the majority of those who
did snag Windblade were either profiteer resellers or people who wanted her to keep forever (and thus wouldn't be selling her on).

Same. I was supposed to get him with my Metroplex, but the seller forgot to pack him in and never got around to actually shipping him.

I still personally favor Titans Return Galvatron, I'm happier with his tradeoffs than I am with those made by the Kingdom figure and he has some play features I enjoy that the Kingdom figure lacks. That being said, don't get him if you end up having to pay Leader price; you may as well get Kingdom at that point.
As for Roddy... if you only get one, I would honestly go with Kingdom Rodimus Prime. Yes, he's a Commander-class figure who's not an all-in-one giant... but for that money a fully-fledged robot with a fully-fledged trailer base of good size (contrast with ER Optimus' sparse, simplified trailer). If he's a ripoff, then so was G1 Optimus Prime back in the day.

Really? I would have thought Wheeljack or Ratchet would offset the evil scientist that is Shockwave... Never was a big fan of Ultra Magnus...
He's still an essential part of the G1 lineup. Wheeljack will be easy enough to get, but forget about any versions of WFC Ratchet and Ironhide. Secondary market prices are nuts.
Geez, guess it's a good thing I got my SIEGE Ironhide and Ratchet when I did.

For cleaning, dry brushes work best. I would recommend a tooth brush and a 1" paint brush to remove dust and grime, finish with compressed air. If you have to use a liquid use isopropyl alcohol as it's plastic safe, non-reactive to metals and evaporates quickly.

trying to mess up people's toys?
Important qualifier: Isopropyl alcohol, AKA rubbing alcohol, is NOT ideal for cleaning painted areas or decals (printed or sticker); it can damage the paint, and the glue of stickers. If cleaning where those are present, I would recommend microfiber cloths or cotton swabs (cotton wool buds to Brits) DAMPED with water. Not wet,
damped; wring out any excess moisture. Because you definitely don't want water lingering on the figure. Make sure to dry off any that does remain after you clean (probably with another microfiber).
For more annoying detail areas, you might want to use brushes as others have said.
