I spent most of 08-09 searching for NHL 09 for PS2 (becuase I am behind the times on the hip new video game systems) only to find it and have the Oilers beat me five out of six games in my first season of my Avalanche dynasty. Even in video game form, Ryan Symthe is over paid and not as good as he was for Edmonton.

well as i was reading your post blurzz it reminded me of some one, ME! we have a lot in common, i too seek this help. i stay up late all the time some times all night, i get depressed very easily and i wont go to see any help. your not the only one here like this. i feel sorry for you, but i cant help. i cant help myself let alone some one else. i have tried to get into relationships at least 5 times if not more, all of which have failed and because of that i went into a big depression for about a year. and i dont tell any one anything that happens to me, because i think its none of their business. and me not telling anyone makes things worse. sorry cant help! just wanted to let ya know we have a lot in common.

Crazy Aunt Hellkitty is still adopting wayward Seibertronians.

As much as I tend to blather(I type fast, I can't help it), I am a remarkably good listener. Need to cry on someone's shoulder, I'm probably just a PM away.

Are you taking issue with the 'old' or the 'lady' part? :P

I was just wondering your age since you say old.. I am 38 and do not consider myself to be "old".. Well not "old" in the rocking chair.

CB: I am older than you.

Also, being, y'know, all crippled like, so that getting out of bed sounds like someone just put on the Jiffy Pop, whilst cursing at least once, makes the years seem a bit heavier.

And then there's that white hair I just found in my eyebrow.

I find one of them in my goatee now and then. Much easier to pluck than a normal hair too so I just class it as a mutant hair.

Now, Blurrz? You walking yet? ;;)

Dude, you gotta trust me on this!

I went for a half hour walk last night after dinner (waited an hour or so as you should) which I haven't done in a LONG time and I feel bloody great this morning!

Aside from the sniffly nose but that's been trying to take hold of me for days.

Walking, or I suppose we'd accept a pilates class as a substitute. My male friends have recently discovered pilates. Not the exercise, the fact that hot chicks take pilates. In cute little stretchy outfits.

Or if you want to be just as cool as me, (yeah, let's raise the bar there, huh? ) you can take fifty or so pounds of assorted crud, shove it in a rucksack, and walk with that on your back. See if you can beat the old lady's 5.2 miles in 60 minutes. Cardiovascular benefit almost the same as running, but less stress on the joints. Plus, one's trapezius muscles get all rrrrrr big, as do the erector spinae.

HK, I slap thee with the gauntlet of challengey-ness. (Okay, note to self: no more staying up 48 straight hours and then going online.)

'Daddy' Burn is a sweetheart, but 'Mommy' hellkitty is not above sending you to your room without dessert, you naughty little puppy. :P

Or perhaps one of my infamous character-building spankings might be in order.

HK, I can do it: especially if you call me 'mommy' again.

Burn, dagnabbit, we're trying to get our boy some female companionship. Not teach him naughty fashion disasters of the 80s.

Filthy mind? You haven't spent a lot of time hanging out with me, have you?

I think it stayed with the 80s, but unfortunately was resurrected when other 80s stuff started coming back. Leggings, for one. Flashdance sweaters. Legwarmers. Chucks. Mullets. Way too much eyeliner. Lip gloss. Metallic eyeshadows. Plastic bangle bracelets. (Is it just me or were the 80s some kind of sick conspiracy to make females dress like idiots?)

Believe me, virtually every time I post on this site I have to work very hard to make my posts "PG-13".

Oy, you and me both. I think sometimes my brain's default mode is set to 'oh, that's just not right!'

Aww, apart from the oddity that is page 2, this thread IS exactly what I thought it would be! A teenager baaawwwwing because he's single. *emo tear*

...Sorry, I have just read so many of these kinds of thread I can't help myself anymore. I'll give you props, Blurrz, for not throwing in there how all girls/womens are heinous hosebeasts/bitches/etc who deserve a good slapping around like a lot of these threads devolve into! Excellent show, young chap. Brb, going back into the kitchen to bake Burn a pie. YEAH I KNOW MY PLACE.

Seriously though - and I'm not sure how serious we're being anymore - but you're young, whole life ahead of you, etc, etc. Concentrate on your studies, exercise, don't become an arrogant jerk off (unless you already are, and then learn not to be), and hey, not all medication for depression is bad/going to cause bad side effects or feelings or whatever. I wouldn't recommend it as first port of call, particularly at your age, but it's not all bad. Unless they put you on Avanza or whatever the hell it was called and then you EAT LIKE A GODDAMN HORSE (seriously, have you ever been finishing up shoving double helpings of food into your mouth and still been ravenously hungry? Yeah, that was balls. And then I went overseas, got super sick with some crazy American disease masquerading as some failicious kind of tonsillitis and wasted away back to my starting weight! Onya, crazy American disease! I'm one of the few people I know who went to the US and lost weight, instead of putting it on, what with your diets being all lard deep fried in lard. Shut up, you know you love my grand, sweeping generalisations) because what you want when you're depressed is to stack on weight and get even more depressed because your meds are making you a fatty!

Sense, I'm not making any.
Vast.
