Since I heard they where making a Transformers Movie, last year I was eager to see what they'd do with many of the Characters and which characters they'd choose for the movie, Prime was my main concern, and having seen pics and images on Youtube I love what they've done with the Greatest Transformer of them all, Bay has done him proud and the fact they have Cullen voice the great one is pretty freakin sweet too.

Anyway what do you guys think of the new look Optimus Prime?

thumbs down on the flames but otherwise pretty bada$$.

i'm sure the faceplate thing will be brought up too but i'm not against the mouth.

After seeing the footage of Prime speaking at the MTV movie awards, the mouth is actually really good.

The rest of the designs, from movie to toys, all look badass. I'm getting the voice changer helmet and Leader Class ASAP.

prime is by far the best one but he's also the ONLY decent one. to put it simply, i'd give him a 5/10. could've and should've been better but nothing really terrible about him either. at least he's recognizable. the others are just absolute debacles and insults to die hard fans. i think they just didn't care about the other designs as much and it's pretty obvious when you see them compared to primes look. prime still has a g1-ish feel but the others aren't even in the same stratosphere unfortunately. they knew that if they screwed up prime like the others there would be hell to pay with the fandom.

Compared to other movie design: 10/10 man! The flame are ok, i guess...

If fact, he's the only one who's accurate. Take a look at movie adaption of other stuff, they CAN'T be perfectly accurate, some this design rock. In fact, im starting to think this design is pretty awesome and look much better then G1 Prime in a way. Of course, G1 Prime is classic but this one look way better when it come to realism and freedom of movement.

The design may be different, but they got the overall look down pat. You can tell who it is on sight. And isn't that what it's all about?

i agree with the lips and flames, but it's not too hard to get past. i like armada prime, and kind of all the incarnations all for different reasons. this one's not my favorite, but it's pretty bad ass, under masterpiece and alternators, and g1 powermaster, this one's up there..
i like the robovision voyager prime alot too.

i am one fo the few who likes the flames, i also like his lips i think it adds a new dimensions of expression to the character. Besides, Prime originally had lips in the cartoon anyway, when he was called Orion Pax...

As a car customiser i like the style of the flames, they have anice 70's old skool muscle look to them, and i persoanlly think they look cool.

In bot mode he looks even better though. Nothing can match the G1 prime, but this new design certainly beats the ass of anything that came after G1 Prime!

I love him and cant wait to get my hands on the leader class figure. (leader class is the biggest one isnt it?)

This design just screams 'noble yet badaft' to me.

I like the designs. I don't think the movie would have worked if they would have stayed true to the G1 designs. The masses are not familiar with those vehicles... But thats just my opinion and yo know what they say about those.

This designs srceams Hillbilly to me. His chest kind of looks like a gut, from his ribcage to his Feet he looks to busy and easily accessible for destruction, and his face without the plate looks poorly conceived. I give Prime a 4/10 but he gets the highest mark I'd give any bot in this movie.

Thought id keep the hilarity going since its a wonderful pic, and needs to be used more often around these forums...
