Quick question you guys. I finally bought an MP Optimus Prime, got him for 80 bucks, which is a steal since every auction I've tried to win has gone up and over 120-130. Even for the "battle damaged" variant, but I managed to snag the 20th Anniversery DVD edition

Anyways anyways, I noticed there was some third party that made longer smoke stacks to replace his neutered ones. And I know I'm gonna want to get them, since...yes..it does make a difference for me. I dunno why, usually I'm not a stickler for those kinda details, but I want him to look as snazzy and awesome as possible. And those tiny stacks just don't tickle my fancy.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Again thanks for the help in advance. :)

Agesthreeandup.com has the long smoke stacks. I've been tempted for years to get them, but now my new desire is MP-10.

This seller has them listed for $9.99 plus free shipping, which I'd consider a really good deal.

Congrats on your MP Prime. It's a great toy!

Do people still need DOTM Cyberverse Guzzle? KMart Des Plaines had 2 tonight at about 5:30- on sale, 7.99 (Dark Sentinel Prime and Battle Steel OP too). They were in an aisle display near the Electronics section. Also, in the main TF section, they had a pad full of those $5 off coupons. They are manufacturer's coups, so they should be good anywhere. And DOTM Deluxes at 9.99.

Golf Mill Walmart had DOTM Voyagers for $15. With the $5 coupon, that's only $10 a piece which is a deal on those!

Image

Golf Mill Target didn't have anything special.

Golf Mill Toys R Us had 3 of the over priced Rage over Cybertron Generations sets left around 11:30am this morning. I was able to use the $5 coupon on that set as well as the last Star Wars Transformers toy that I didn't have. Yay to saving money!

Golf Mill CVS had a lone HFTD Insecticon ... perhaps the CVS stores in this area are getting the Windcharger wave that other CVS stores around the country are getting?

Dempster CVS had a couple of the DOTM Speedstars vehicles yesterday.

Wow, gotta hit Walmart! I've been fighting the urge to buy Fireburst OP, but for 10 it's a gimme. Another Skyhammer would be nice, and another Ironhide- I messed up the left arm a little modding mine, and another of his cannon would be fun.

I hit the CVS on Irving and York Rd last week, saw no Windchargers.

The Golf Mill Walmart had two Skyhammers and an Ironhide around noon.

The hours for the Tour are 11a-5p.

Which is precisely the window of time in which I'm *completely* booked- daughter's soccer game from 12:30-1:30, and a family party from 2-4. Crap in a hat. Might be able to sneak out of the family thing early. Son of a *.

So I got my MP Optimus today in the mail. And he's just as cool as I imagined him to be in hand, so big and sooooo heavy lol. Sadly he does have some paint chipping which wasn't detailed in the auction..but that's ok. I'm gonna start looking for a paint that'll match his red so I can touch him up and laquer it so he'll look "vaguely" new. :)

I also started customizing him to be even better than just the base model. I bought him those extended smoke stacks, ordered the MP-01 head from Igear which should be arriving in another week or so. I also {and this I'm sorta proud of myself for discovering} I found out that MP Rodimus's matrix fits in Primes chest, with a tiny bit of modding on the handles {a simple dremmel grinding and some silver paint}. So now he has his traditional blue crystal instead of just the bland white and it looks so cool. I dunno if others have done this, but if I'm the first on the board, then....PROMOTIONS!

I'm also thinking I might order the G2 cape, but I dunno yet, I've heard the clips tend to chip up the cab lights on his chest. Also when I get done with the Matrix mod, I'll post a picture.

Walmart on /Touhy in Skokie(?) had 4 of the DOTM Cyberverse Battle in the Moonlight sets yesterday, the Optimus Prime/trailer, Ratchet, and Crankcase set. Looks pretty cool, I might get it on clearance.

The new Ross store nearby there had no TFs to speak of, nothing anybody's been looking for.

Any other CVS sightings of Windcharger? Or any other Guzzle sightings in the Rockford area? If anyone sees that Windcharger, I'd be happy to compensate you for picking it up...and yes, I do mean more than just the price of the fig...enough for a few victory drinks.
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

Algonquin Target had 1 Half-Track, 2 Drag Strip, 1 Reverb, and 1 Crosshairs tonight. For as much trouble as I'm having trying to find Cyberverse Guzzle, these guys were easy!

One odd sight there was an ROTF deluxe Swerve. I knew this guy was popping up at TJ Maxx, so I checked the UPC, and sure enough, someone had printed out a fake UPC and stuck it on the bottom, outside of the plastic. Five bucks for that guy, I guess.
