I really wanted to want to pick up Lion-o, but his toy doesn't look that great (it looks really plain) and the Tygra figure has one of the worst paint jobs on his face that I think I've ever seen. The left eye on the half dozen that I've seen at a couple of stores now is painted in the wrong spot. It looks like 1/2 the molded eye doesn't have paint on it. Can't believe they let that one get through quality control, especially on a collector's edition toy. I was kind of bummed ... would've been nice to have had new updated versions of the primary 80s toys all on a shelf (Duke or Snake Eyes, Lion-O, He-Man, and Optimus Prime). Not going to happen with this version of Lion-o and Tygra though.

you got that right. The new Thundercats toys are pathetic. The show, on the other hand, is phenomenal! Absolutely loving the new take on the characters and the less gay costumes...story is fantastic.

The show is indeed excellent, unfortunately the toys are very sub-par in my opinion. Definitely look like kid toys to me. I guess the 6 inch line isn't that bad, but I'm not feeling any of them really. Is Bandai USA slacking or is this kind of plain product what they usually knock out for products outside of the Gundam imports?

Yeah, the Thundercats toys aren't amazing, but the six inch line looks like it has great articulation.

I've got a similar shelf I'm developing that I'm calling the Nostalgia shelf, where I'm putting anything non-Transformers on. There's one figure per fiction that I liked as a kid. So far I've got Snake Eyes for GI Joe, MOTUC Skeletor, NECA Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (all four of them, you can't have just one!), Specialist Trakker for M.A.S.K., 12-inch Godzilla, and 6 inch Liono (the new version, his design is way better than the original version). I still need to get something for Voltron, so I'm waiting for toys from the new show to be released. I'm also cheating and putting DOTM Voyager Shockwave as a standin for Rock Lords, because he looks just like one. ;)

The new Thundercats toys spark my interest, but like said, they are not great. Defintely not worth the price tag the 6" figures are going for. I am also disappointed that the new thundertank only works with the smaller scale figures. Now I will say I picked up the 8" classics Lion-O and Tygra last week. It was automatic when I saw those 2 on the shelf. I like the articulation and the fact that Lion-O comes with both a long & short representation of the Sword of Omens. Plus the claw shield kicks butt! Tygra on the otherhand...... He looks like Wolverine in drag. His paint details just don't scream stealthy warrior to me, but I had to buy him cause Lion-O was there.

First Aid

If that estate collection has G1 in it, let me know, I would be interested in adding to my collection as always and appreciate the heads up.

Other than that nothing new I've spotted near me, been working nights, so not too much hunting.

Got an AmaCron ordered as of about 20 minutes ago though :-)

Border's Highland IN store.

Saw some PCC, no Consturcitoncs or Dinobots, 1 RTS Bee, 1 LEgends Bee, 1 Tracks and 1 Jazz RTS as well.

That was it and nothing else there I asked.

Most Targets don't have him in the aisle yet, you have to go to the price checkers and punch in the DCPI# 087-06-1666, then get somebody to go get it from the stock room for you. That's how most have been getting him. If you see him on display it's usually cause when somebody did the above mentioned, the employee whom pulled the box set the extra out instead of taking it back to the stockroom.

Got a Warpath from St' John Target. Nothing else there to be seen except for a Kup on the shelves.

I think I saw the Transformers crossover Destroyer out there as well, couldn't remember which one it was u were looking for, so not 100% positive.

Crystal Lake Target has two Generations Wheeljacks and two Warpaths. Crystal Lake Walmart has the same, along with a Generations Thundercracker or two. So weird seeing these figures on the shelves now.

Target on E. State in ROckford has FOUR...yes FOUR..of Wheeljack, Thundercracker, and Warpath. FOur each. My eyes nearly popped out of their sockets.

On the downside, I asked them for the HA Leadfoot. THey had twelve in the back then proceeded to tell me there is a street date for these figures and couldn't give me one. Anyone know anything about this?

I'm starting to wonder if maybe there IS a street date. I've only seen HALF once, at my nearest Target. When those were gone, never saw him again, there or any other Target. Maybe the ones I saw were accidentally put out early.

Can't remember which Target this was at, but they had a sign in Toys saying that they are not allowed to look in the back. Meanies.

Let the stampede begin! Target on E. State has an end cap with six HA Leadfoot figures. I was told that all Target stores should be putting these out this week as they redo their shelves for the Christmas shopping season so everyone should be seeing these very shortly. w00t! :KREMZEEK:

Nothing new near me, but haven't gotten in a good store run really either though.

Still planning on a last Sat of Sept or first Sat of Oct get together at my place.

So pay attention Ryan :D I'll call you when I got a final date, just hit a couple snags I need to confirm before I set the final date.

Went on a shopping spree to pick up the 11 missing Star Wars Transformers that were absent from my collection.

I came across two Masterpiece Rodimus Primes at the Schaumburg TRU. I picked up a set of the new Cyberverse Legion class including Flak at the Schaumburg Target.

The Five Below store in Schaumburg has the first four Reveal The Shield Legends Class figures (Optimus, Megatron, Bumblebee and Starscream) but NO Prowl and Trailcutter. The sign says $5 but they ring up at $3.
