I had only seen a few episodes of BW when it aired. I will say I was closed minded at the time because, due to seeing only a few non consecutive episodes, I felt it was wierd that some other guy was named Megatron, another is a Optimus thats not Optimus just happened to be fighting each other on a planet that seemed like earth but not cause it had 2 moons. ??? Well I downloaded it a while back and it was very well written, gripping and then they started tying it into the G1 story and I loved it. Wish I would have seen it sooner. Seeing them in the Arc amongest all the characters from the first series was really cool.

Has any one else seen the interviews with the writers and the deleted scene where Optimus returns G1 Megatrons spark, just before they leave for Cybertron? I dont know if they are common, but they where in the file. I will try to link them if anyone wants to see them.

yeah, that deleted scene is on the season 3 boxset. well, i'm glad you enjoyed it, dude! it really is a great series and your case is a very common one. g1 purists just couldn't wrap their heads around the concept of Transformers with beast modes instead of vehicle mode (ironic due to the populariy of a certain group of dinosaurs with speech impedimants that come to mind).

And I myself liked the Season 1 stuff mostly, since it was so un-G1.

Anyhow, the beast forms looking very much like animals, the various ruins and momuments, as well as mysterious aliens, is what I liked alot. I just did not like the aliens being revealed in the end....they were much better as an unseen threat that was always to worry about.

I'm glad someone out there likes that show for what it is. Good. I loved it the whole time it was on. I was too young to know the G1 references that it made here & there, but then I discovered that G1 even existed. After I knew what was going on, I loved it even more. It really was a good series. Most people don't even like its successor, Beast Machines, but I liked that as well. Not as many (or hardly any) G1 references, but it was still an okay series.

Now all you need to do is support the show by purchasing the DVD's.

'SEASON 3 BOXSET'! Where's the Uk's season 3 boxset! I want Beast Wars boxsets!

Beast Wars is pure-awesomeness....its what made me discovered Transformer!

If you really want a Season 3 boxset, order yourself the Madman version. It is Pal, so will work fine in Uk DVD players. The Madman releases have the best extras of any release.
Prices are in $AU, so divide it by about 2.5 for the UK price.
