I'm not sure how many of you are interested but I have been having a really easy time lately snagging transformer movie etc. display items from various stores.

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS PLAY DUMB and sorta seek out the right person in the store. At walmart the trick has been asking the older mom type employees or the younger employees. However, try not to ask manager types. They usually get somewhat protective and tough with ya.

I usually use the line/lie, "I found this on the ground or aren't you guys going to be throwing these away soon"

According to TRU employees they are not allowed to give out large display items and were initially given explicit instructions on how to destroy them after things are over.

Tick-tock-tick-tock

These things will be gone soon and are there for the taking...with a little mind manipulation that is...

I'm glad to know that I am not the only person who has asked for these types of items.

When I was at TRU buying NCAA 08 I asked the woman at the customer service desk what they planned on doing with the huge display above the toys. I really wanted the Barricade cutout. She told we that they had to send it "somewhere" when they were finished with it.

But I did get the holographic Mountain Dew display from the Chevron in my neighborhood. That one will look good framed and displayed on my wall.

Did anybody stop by a GM dealership earlier this month and ask for their posters from the "Transform Your Ride" sale?

Yea, I did. Many of them told me that they were told to send em back to the GM corporation, but I called one and, they gave me the entire dealership package, new and unused, they were too lazy to put advertise the sale :P

However out of the 4 Burger King's near me, none of them participated in the TF promotion so I could'nt grab any of those :(

Sweet man! I found the same stuff! My GM dealer didn't use them either. They were just going to throw them away.

Nice to be an employee. Barricade is sitting at my brothers house along with the Decepticon symbol and the giant TRANSFORMERS logo.

I was able to nab cutouts of Prime and Bumblebee from the Transform Your Summer promotion.
