Is it just me or can you predict whether you are going to win or lose by looking at the Minicon symbols? So far everytime the mission counter reaches 20 minutes (when the mission actually begins), some of the minicon symbols from the registry page disappear and some of them don't. The ones that disappear at the 20 minute mark are invariably the ones that lose their missions, and the ones that don't disappear win their missions.
Also, it bothers me a little that minicons are the Cybertronian version of handiwipes. They're so fragile they're pretty much disposable. I know that they need some kind of downside to balance off the bonuses they give, but it seems to me that losing an item on a loss will just encourage more cowardly mission selection. Why throw your bots into a mission to help your fellow bots in a likely hopeless cause when you're likely to lose a valuable and costly resource?

Or just put people off using mini-cons in general.
Which might be one of OS' hidden agendas (oh yes, we know you have them.

Obviously having a mini-con gives you an advantage. Now if they're cheap and disposable everyones going to have them, and you end up with the whole clone situation again.
Come the reset, a lot of people won't be able to afford them. A smart commander will save up their energon and only use them when you launch a big assault to capture a sector.
So in that respect they need to be disposable otherwise everyone will eventually have them permanently attached and it defeats the purpose of the little advantages, plus it gives an extra level of strategy, because they're fragile, you only use them when absolutely necessary.

If I couldn't surprise you all, I wouldn't have any fun

Seriously though, you are right on the money.
I was saying a long time ago you would not be able to dominate the game with Minicons and I promised they wouldn't throw the game out of balance. Now you can see why.

Wasn't overly difficult to develop a strategy for these guys.
Although it sounds simple on paper, putting it to use when we actually do have to capture and control sectors will be a different matter.
Questions questions questions ...
• Will the look of the MC's be changing to the more traditional semi-featureless HMW alt style?
• Will we have a better way to see what MC's are equipped instead of just the MC logo next a bot? In other words, will the team view page be changed up to accommodate mini-cons and their details?
• Will we be able to see what sort of MC's our opponents are packing or is that a surprise?

It's not just you. I have noticed that too.
To Burn: I caved. Just to experiment. After using and losing a few I think I'm going to give them up. They don't seem to be worth it.

Firstly - Anyone else keep accidently pressing the Minicons pages instead of missions?
Secondly - in less than 12 hours (and including a restock) we appear to have completely sold out on the bot side...
Thirdly - I'd love a Courage Boost minicon and an Endurance Boost one as well.

I wasn't wearing my glasses and pressed Minicons instead of Missionstoo....

The Con's minicons are all gone too. Now I have to start conserving the little buggers.

Actually it was in response to CJB's spooging over the thought of 14 strength.
Not like you need a minicon for a ramming strafer to do a 100% strafe anyway.
