He doesn't need the stickers.

He looks just mean and stealthy in f15 mode and the stripes distract from such a beautiful mold.

When walmart ss gets in depending on whether he's been stickered or not, I'll decide. I'd also like to see how reprolabels will look. For now he'll stay unsoiled.

I've thought of painting the lines myself as the stickers would look weird on him... Its a shame such an amazing figure would get crappy stickers... With all the attention to detail they gave them it is pretty dumbfounding...

Why not waterslides instead of the cheesy stickers takara?

The left leg on mine is actually pretty loose and the silver and gunmetal paint is rather easily scuffed. They should have at least clear coated those pieces. :(

Hot on the heels of the sticker debate, I have this shocking news! The wing stickers on my MP Skywarp started peeling off today! They have started to curl up from the rear wing tips forward.

I've tried to reapply it but no luck, it appears the adhesive is toast. I applied these very carfully with a clean toy and no finger grease, this toy also resides in a very dry environment. I'm hoping I can find something gentle to keep them from peeling but if not then they are coming off.

Just a heads up Skywarp owners!

This is my primary concern about the sticker wears when deciding to apply them on. I'm very happy that I didn't and loved with the naked look. I hope you find a remedy for this. If you can't find a resolution, why don't you take them all off instead? It would look much better.

Yes. If I can't find something that will keep the sticker adhered to the toy without making a mess I'll just peel them off. It won't break my heart, but I did like the stripes.

Sorry to hear about the sticker problem. Even happier now that I didn't apply them-with the exception of the Decepticon logos on the wings. Now that I have him unboxed and have transformed him, I FREAK'IN LOVE HIM. He just seems to be more solid and easier to work with than MP SS. Where as SS took about 40 minutes to transform because I thought I was going to break him all the time, the sturdier Skywarp only took about 10 minutes. Such a great figure! Worth every penny. Now, bring on Animated SS and my seeker collection will at least look complete-original SS will then be playing the part of Thundercracker.

What a great version of the mold. Skywarp Rocks!

I just checked and my stickers are still fully applied to the plastic. Maybe you got a dodgy batch of stickers lanzajr26? No consolation I'm sure but I'm hoping yours is a one off rather than typical.

Got mine from BBTS last week and just now have stopped drooling over this piece. I am officially addicted to the Masterpiece line (much to the chagrin of my wife...and wallet). I am perfectly content with keeping him MIB and living vicariously through you guys that have opened him up (thanks Alex Kingdom for that nice gallery!)
I have Megs on order, and would really like to get my hands on Ultra Magnus at some point...especially if I can find him for a song like I did SDCC Rodimus today (see the Aussie Rodimus thread for that story)

Cheers!

Come on, break the seal!

Hehehe...well THAT I couldn't resist doing. I did break the seal and slid out the plastic insert containing the goodies in it, but that's all I did...miSb no, MIB yes :P
Slid it right back into the box and stowed him safely away from little son and daughter hands after that.

I understand that keeping it MIB would give it a higher resale value one that has been played. If you're so fall in love with him, I suppose you would keep it for a long long time, so I highly recommend you to at least transform it one time to get the real feeling of actually owning it. In my opinion, it's a whole lot different feeling from just watching someone else's playing with it.

Got mine from BBTS on Thursday. I love my MP-06 once I got over the fear of snapping him I found the transformation to be straight forward. Now I just have to transform him back....

Really looking forward to my MP Starscream.

Now I've actually had a lot of problems with Takara over the past 2 years. I've had two deformed Transformers (Heat damage to both Soundblaster and Encore Prime) which BBTS happily replaced for me. Then my first MP Starscream was beat to ****, right out of the package and had scuffs all over his face.

I was a little afraid that Skywarp would be a problem too.

Now my fiance got Skywarp for me a my Christmas present. So, he won't be up on display for a lil while yet. S'all good. She's a Princess for getting this for me.

Never the less, we agreed to open him up and check for defects...just in case.

Happily, Skywarp was problem free and beautiful. It's an excellent display piece and there do seem to be some improvements overall.

I say, no stickers on him for the record. He just doesn't need them.

I had the same experience with MP Starscream, several of the tabs were bent thus preventing parts of the jet from pegging into place properly, then there was the problem with him having the same face on both sides of his head. Thankfully Skywarp is 100% perfect. Still debating about the stickers though. I should mention that this figure was designed by the same person who did the Macross Valks for Yamato so it is more than just coincidence if you should find yourself comparing it to a 1/60 or 1/48 scale Valk.
