Oh, man, I was just thinking about how awesome Roadbuster would be in the sequel. Use a real military Hummer, not some "customized rescue Hummer". Psh. Use the real deal for Roadbuster and have him decked out with all kinds of guns and such. He has one of the best head designs in Transformers, and it wouldn't have to change all that much for the movie. Roadbuster for the win!

To answer the question at hand: I'd like to see Arcee (for the ladies), Sunstreaker & Sideswipe (play up their being siblings) and Perceptor (though I realize with no mass shifting he'd have to have a new alt mode)

Heres my list with what I think they should transform into

Autobot:
Wheeljack : A pick-up/recovery truck
Arcee : dunno, a bike?
Warpath : A challenger 2
Powerglide : A-10 Thunderbolt II Warthog or a Harrier GR9
Hoist: A recovery tank, e.g. Challenger ARRV:

I kinda like the Roadbuster idea--he'd practically be a one-'Bot Wreckers team in and of himself.

After seeing so many lists, though, I'm kinda curious...why would everyone see these characters as being prime for the movie? I guess I kinda got the idea that the thread was almost like "pitching" ideas for characters (hence, y'know, my big poofy blurbs back on page 1), so I'm curious for everyone's reasoning.

Also: that Soundwave render was just badass. I can't imagine the head design making it through ILM, but maybe they'd be merciful and give us a little throwback like with Prime...

I'd like to see Starscream come back with the rest of the seekers as his team and Shockwave and Soundwave come in with the Constructicons. The Autobots then get their biggest badasses, the Dinobots!

Soundwave and shockwave thats my first wish. After that I'd like to see starscream with a bit of an armada. Wheeljack and Mirage for the Autobots. Lets leave the combiners till they're struggling for cool ideas using the basic bots. oh and if we have soundwave we must have laserbeak

sorry to burst your bubble, but this thread is about who you would LIKE to see in a sequel, so it doesn't matter if they are fit for the big screen or not

I only have two real picks, but they include spoilers, so SPOILER BOX AWAY!

1. Galvatron.

Megatron dies. This isn't speculation, this is what happens.

Going with this, have Galvatron appear as Megatron's old protegé from Cybertron. He's angry a the loss of his old friend, mentor,and father figure. And he blames Starscream for not being able to procure either Megatron nor the AllSpark.

So he transforms into a Cybertronions weapons platform (With the main cannon becoming his arm cannon) and blast Screamer to high hell, much like TFTM.

2. My lesser favorite pick, Arcee.

Mostly, have her become Mikaela's "Buddy Transformer" (Like Bumblebee is to Sam, and Ironhide becomes to Lennox) and possibly serve as love interest to Bumblebee.

I would like:

Mirage as a dark blue and white Caterham Seven

Chromia as a light blue Lotus Elise.

Hound as a dark green Jeep Wrangler.

Rodimus as a red Corvette.

Prowl as some sort of cop car.

Kup as a teal El Camino.

Sideways as a black modified Plymouth Prowler.

Bludgeon as an orange Lamborghini Murceilago.

Galvatron as some kick-butt space ship.

Some generic Decepticon as a black Cadillac. Maybe the could name him Cannonball.

Scourge as (Of course.) a hovercraft.

Don't really have any picks for the Autobots as to me they already seem to have their bases covered with the different character types. For the Decepticons though (whom from what I've read seem like they're all gonna be very similar characterwise) :

Skywarp - In a similar role to what he had in the G1 cartoon, the loyal thug to Megatron who didn't really like Starscream at all, creating a bit of trouble amongst the ranks through arguing/fighting with Screamer. Preferably with a different body and jet mode to Starscream, F-15E Strike Eagle perhaps.

Ravage - Similar vein to what Frenzy's supposed to be as a spy/info gatherer type, but focuses more on hunting things down, Cybertronian beast type Con that transforms into an otherwise mundane object for the spying stuff.

Swindle - Willing to sell out anyone to get his own way/protect himself, could see him working along side Sector 7 to suit his own needs. Generic Military Jeep/Hummer Transformation.

id love to see soundwave as some sort of sonic bomber, with maybe some kind of pet that could be ravage. as for the autobots, id love to see the dinobots, but how that would happen i dont know

What I would love to see:

Autobots:
Arcee -something other then a pink motercycle or hovercar. I want to say a jet instead, but not bright candy pink because that would look dumb.

Elita-1 -Some sleek-looking classy car, maybe one of the older models.

No Dinobots. At least as dinosaurs.

Decepticons:
Thundercracker
& Skywarp: Why not? They are often associated with being around Starscream, plus they are cool. At least one of them should be an F-15 Eagle, as those will be around for a while and plus they still outnumber the F-22s.

Soundwave, Lazerbeak, and Ravage: Soundwave as a Stealth Bomber, Laserbeak as one of those Airforce Predator drones, and Ravage as some animal type that Soundwave liked and decided to build him as. (Jaguar or Doberman Pinscher)

autobots should not be military vehicles imo

from what ive been told the new characters in development are
the dinobots and the stunticons

I have a feeling they'll bring in Arcee seeing as she was intended to be in the first film to begin with but was cut.

I'd love to see both the twins: Sideswipe/Sunstreaker and Runamuck/Runabout. I could see some really cool battles there.

Also, I like the idea of bringing in the Constructicons (and devastator) because think about it: Ok they made a movie about Giant Transforming alien robots. How to build on that? Giant transforming aline robots...that combine!
