Got to tell you, the individual Aerialbots are not very memorable. Aside from Sivlerbolt and Air Raid, I can't even pretend to remember the other 3 without looking them up. They basically just serve as being parts for Superion.

Doesn't help that he doesn't even share a color scheme with the original G1 character.

For what it's worth, the new head does look a lot like him. Other than that, he can't look exactly like his G1 self. I mean it's not like Optimus looks more like his G1 self than ol' FF here. Besides, this form is obviously pre-Superion Fireflight. You could just be optimistic and say he gets reformatted later on.

At least look on the bright side. He looks a lot more like G1 Fireflight than that Energon repaint.

The paint-job to me is more reminiscent of his G2 color scheme. I can understand about not being memorable. What helped me remember him was that he was the more douche-bag-like one of all of them when they first came to Earth from Cybertron.

Yeah, that's my theory too, but it feels kind of redundant since they ALSO use clever angling (if not cheat with photoshop and dismantling) to hide kibble.

All I can remember when I think of Fireflight is that he had the attention span of a 2-year-old. Slingshot seemed like more of a douche from what I recall.

Just goes to show how hard it is to tell any of them apart, and by extension why I could care less about any one of them since they're so hard to identify with.

The head sculpt isn't perfect, but it's a new head. It's one of the only Magnus toys to do that. Usually it's a straight redeco of Optimus. No mold changes, just color changes.

That, plus the fact that the WFC Optimus mold/design seems to be more widely accepted than this version. Plenty of people saw this Optimus and said "Whoa, that's a step back." it works better for Ultra Magnus. The shoulders, the head, the mass, the colors, all of it fits Magnus much better than it does Prime. And for those of us who own WFC Optimus, we can now justify buying this mold because it IS a different character, finally.

No, he's not perfect, but it's worth buying because it's finally an Ultra Magnus that doesn't completely suck.

i just don't see how anyone could not like these! THEY ARE AMAZING!!!!! all of these are just made of pure WIN

Yeah, I get all that now... only because I forced myself to. Doesn't mean I care, and further still refuse to remember which one looks like what since they all transform exactly the same way.

Someone posted pictures of those three next to Generations WfC Megatron. ...It's really, REALLY noticable how much smaller Jazz/Sideswipe are.

If they cut the figures down to keep prices low, we'll complain.
If they keep the figures small and raise the prices as we're being told they might, we have every right to complain.

Actually, no. I think it's our duty to complain, at that point.

Now, if only a 3rd party would make a trailer for magnus and my new FOC cars to be carried in.

Well, if that's how the scale is going to be, at least Megs is kinda the right size. He's in the physically largest class in the game, so he's a bit taller than the others. Also, Voyager Soundwave might end up being the same height or close to WFC Soundwave (which is rather sad when you think about it).

Of course, Bumblebee and Cliffjumper are WAY out of scale now.

And I thought the economy was getting better? Why is it that even with smaller figures and less material used in packaging, Hasbro has to jack up the price?

To my knowledge, the economy is improving, but I don't see how Hasbro is going to sustain or increase profits with the TF brand now. This isn't like what the petroleum companies do, because most of us have to drive car to go to work and school every day, so we'll buy gasoline regardless until we really financially can't, and they know that. However, we don't need action figures to succeed in society, so this doesn't make sense. I would still be pissed if they were the same size but higher prices, but the smaller size added on makes me twice as pissed. I don't know what they expect out of sales, but it sure looks bad for TF with no movie to cushion it for several years.
