Christ I wish everyone would stop Judging everything by apearance and just wait for the series to actualy come out. I mean, Yeah it looks bad, but come on, at least wait till the series comes out before you start condemning it like its the spawn of Satan. For all we know the series itself could be pretty good despite the awkward animation style.

And Honestly, It looks pretty cool.

The art looks a lot like the starwars clone wars series, which was much better than expected. but I have a bad feeling about this.

How the **** is that supposed to transform? Or more importantly, what the **** is it?

Jesus chirst. I hate the movie designs, but compared to this, they look pure G1 goodness!

**** hell Hasbro, are you really trying to kill one of your biggest brands or what?!

On a plus, this means I won't have a new line to buy figures from next year. So I can really get into back-buying the golden oldies I missed out on!

tusko...

Postby Autobot Skids » Wed Jun 20, 2007 11:11 am

Tusko's right... there is a bit of a G2 feel to this... if you look at Gallen's old work - it was actually really "childish" - but "gritty" at the same time... it'll all mesh better in animation - it's kind of like the Batman cartoon... I watched that and it was really good because of the stories; and the animation style was consistently applied and appealing...

Also - note that the Prime used is the mini Powermaster mould... at least the colors and general bigger upper body give me that impression.

I'm pretty sure I could crap a better looking Transformer than this. This is absolutely horrible. The creator of this monstrosity should be taken out back of the shed and given a beatdown, then shot.

That is absolutely disgusting. But I'm not surprised, as soon as they announced who was in charge of the project, I knew it would look like this. I don't even see how they could possibly make transforming toys out of this.

Well, in a positive light, once the movie hype dies down, I'll have a long, long time to catch up on collecting toys from old series.

...jeez, and I thought Bayformers were bad... Transformers have gone to ****. :?

Is it just me or does it seem that cartoon here in the states have regressed? I mean back when I was a kid in the 80's we had stuff like Transformers, G.I. Joe, Thundercats, MASK, Robotech, Voltron, Star Blazers, He-Man, etc etc. and while these show had their animation problems they were still a lot more realistic/complex than what we got these days. I turn on cartoon network, hell any station for that matter showing cartoons, and all I see are shows that feature simplistic drawings, bright colors, child like characters, or some kind of animal creature. Where is the complexity to the animation? is it really that hard to draw a decently proportioned human or robot character? Why are kids these days getting flooded with all this overly simple stuff?

And never mind the stories to these shows. Seems like all these shows have no connecting stories or plots. Its nothing but stand alone episodes involving cookie cutter characters with poor/simple animation. Are kids these days somehow dumber to the point that they cant follow a continuous story over a few episodes? Are we asking too much of kids to focus on something for 30 min, or maybe everyone really does have ADD.

:?

One good thing may come out of this

The toys don't come out until next summer.

In between the movie and the new show we may get more Classics and Alternators

it's for LITTLE KIDS, 5 to 6 year olds.... That's who buys toys, mostly.

Try to have an open mind, at least fr your little brother's/son's sake.

Just to make this clear, it's a an adaption for KIDS...yes it will suck ...but there will be a new series of the real transformers(the trick is go to the movie...so they have a bigger budget for it)more than likely they will show both(I wanted a t.f. universe series)they want more people to watch...younger people.
26 episodes will flash by.

fans...stop worrying(they want your money...so show them what you want and they will sell it to you)
((when you see the movie...dont forget the pizza))

Looks silly, but its for the kids.

They either had to make it like this, or more realistic (what we would like). Otherwise they would just remake rid/energon/armada etc.. i guess they want a new look

They better bring Transtech out or something.

Anyone think that this is overreacting? Just a tad?

I mean, is anyone going to hold their judgement till we've seen a single episode? I mean, can we at least try to predict the story will be fun, even if the character models aren't what we expected?

This is apparantly the style of the time. I'm actually a little surprised at how shocked everyone is by OP's character design.

Whats up with all the new users posting here about how we should show our support by seeing the movie and to hold off judgement? Viral marketing?
